Jan 28th 2011 9:30PM You're missing the bigger point. It's against labor laws to discriminate against a woman who is pregnant. If you would give leave or concession for someone with a broken leg, arm, etc, you must give that to a pregnant woman and not prevent her from work on the basis that she will take time off for her baby. She can plan for her time off as best she can and also work from home for part of the time. There are ways around it. To discriminate against her for her pregnancy is wrong. The next person who may not be pregnant could have a family emergency and take time off or be in an accident and need time off, etc. Let's not go back to the dark ages people.

He's seen it happen a time or two with other co-workers through the years. I'd rather him go without a ring on his finger than to go without the hand.

Oct 21st 2008 7:39AM Mady, McCain is not going to continue this. Under Obama's plan corporations will continue to layoff people because they won't be able to afford to pay the higher taxes otherwise. Small business will rethink growth opportunities because it means higher taxes and less money to invest in growth. Obama's plan will cripple small business. I have a small business under $250K. But if Obama gets into office, I will be scrapping my 5 year plan of growth because it won't be worth it. Any potential jobs I could have created with my business growth will be gone. Obama's plan HURTS the working class, not helps it.
