Tweeting Your Miscarriage: Is Nothing Sacred? {Politics Daily}

Oct 5th 2009 6:17AM I agree, but, we as individuals still have the power of choice. We can choose what we read, or what we allow people to tell us. If something offends me, I simply choose not to be a part of it anymore. I also think it's wrong that people judge her as being cold and heartless for discussing this the way she did. To assume that most women wouldn't feel this way, even twenty or thirty years ago, well, you know what it does. Women just didn't voice things back then, but that doesn't mean that some didn't feel the same way. We pick and choose what we tell people, and they pick and choose what they hear. Should we choose our words wisely? Sure, but then, who decides what is wise and what is not? One man's comic book is another man's novel. And just for the record, I choose not to tweet.

Richard Seymour Fined for Pulling Hair {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Oct 4th 2009 11:13AM I'm sorry, but this is like grade school! "Yeah, I pulled his hair" the big bad football player says proudly, "and it was no mistake." OMG! When I was a little girl I never pulled hair in a fight, not to mention a sporting event! Grown men pulling each other's hair?!?!? What's next, snapping each other with their wet towels? I can see pulling it during a tackle, it's hard to miss it when it's hanging out like that, but come on, at least deck the guy if you can't stand him, get a REAL fine! Or better yet, practice good sportsmanship and accept defeat (or a win) graciously. Anyone that angry has no business being on the field in the first place.

First Lady Fashion Repeats: Michelle Obama's Versatile Wardrobe {BV on Style}

Sep 30th 2009 6:10AM Honestly, I don't give a rat's you know what if the first lady wears the same ugly pin over and over again. Her and her husband are driving my beautiful country into the ground, so I couldn't care less what her clothing style is. Should I be impressed that she re-wears, since I can't even buy new clothes because my husband and I are unsure about our job futures? Great, I'm happy that the first lady doesn't insult us by only wearing things once. I just can't believe this matters at all! Are people even aware of how they are abusing their power? Wake up America!

Father Wants Baby-Snatching Wolf-Dog Hybrid Back Home {Pawnation}

Aug 26th 2009 6:19PM Hey, Glennzo, there are more people in this world who treat babies a helluva lot worse than that dog ever did! The difference? The people MEANT to hurt the baby, the dog did not. A baby is more frail than a wolf cub, I would think. If Dakota wanted the baby dead, it wouldn't have bothered to carry it away, it just would have killed it. Dogs do not premeditate murder. Anyway, I read the original article, and it actually said she was probably carrying it away like she would a cub. Now that the people have learned from that mistake, I doubt they would let it happen again. I have never gotten rid of a dog, and I never will.

Obama 'Joker' Picture Pops Up In Los Angeles and the Internet {Politics Daily}

Aug 5th 2009 6:11AM I don't see the big deal. People said much worse about Bush and no one objected. Why should Pres. Obama be above criticism? There are a great many of us who don't approve of him or what he is doing (or rather, NOT doing) for America. I'm so tired of hearing about his family going on vacation, or the President's dog getting his picture taken, or who won a look alike contest with the President's daughters. Recently I saw a headline about his half sister moving to Washington. Who cares? America is falling apart and the Dems golden cow is doing nothing to fix it! That's more of an outrage than a picture! Maybe they don't mean the Joker was a socialist, but rather that Obama is crazy.

Bo Obama Has Official Portrait Taken {Pawnation}

Jun 28th 2009 11:03AM OMG, this is so true! The economy is on the brink of collapse, thousands of people are losing their homes every day and have nowhere to keep their dogs, and this is news? A freaking picture of a dog? I liked it before, when the President's dog was photographed here and there as a little levity at the end of a newscast, not put out there as if it is major news. This is what he is doing with his Presidency? This is really sad, and the comic book is a total joke, as well as an insult to Americans everywhere who are stressed and worried about losing their jobs, houses, and everything they have worked hard for. Thanks for thinking about us, President Obama.

Summer Reading - Should 'Part-Time Indian' be Banned? {ParentDish}

Jun 23rd 2009 10:54PM I have never censored my children's book reading, and that included allowing them to read comic books. If there was something questionable in a book, I encouraged my children to come and talk it over with me, allowing them to give their views and opinions and offering mine. It was a way to educate my child on how cruel or graphic the real world can be, by giving them many views into it. My daughter now is heading into her second year of college at OWU, with a 3.97 GPA, got nominated to travel to Germany, and is very well spoken and opinionated on a great many topics. And she's an upstanding member of society. Go figure!

White Castle Discriminates Against Power Scooter User {Asylum}

Jun 17th 2009 8:40AM White Castles is a northern food chain; the south's version is Krystal's and it's not as good. I agree! I wear hearing aids, and sometimes I run into difficulties, like at work using the phone, but I don't whine and moan and sue, I deal with it! I know every disability in life has some challenges, that's what makes us stronger and gives us character. Why do people think they deserve things handed to them just because they think they should be able to do something? If she went thru the drive thru, and a car hit and injured her, she'd sue because they let her do it. Everyone needs to accept that there are going to be things in life that aren't fair, and aren't easy. Suing isn't the answer--fighting for change is. And not Obama's change, REAL change. And just for the record, our problems aren't just Bush's fault, it's an accumulation of bad decisions, by Democrats and Republicans. Because Bush didn't do it by himself--he had to have approval by the Congress and Senate.

The Most Misspelled Word? Definitely {Lemondrop}

Jun 16th 2009 7:10PM One of my pet peeves is poor spelling too! If you know you're a bad speller, then invest in a dictionary! I use mine all the time. Here's some to add to the list--sensative (sensitive) enamal (enamel) and know the difference between they're, their, and there!!!

What to Watch Out For in Public Bathrooms {ParentDish}

May 30th 2009 11:20AM Why not line the seat with toilet paper instead of hovering? That way you can sit and get your business where it needs to be, not leaving splatter--because come on ladies, you are disgusting in the bathroom!--and still have a barrier between you and germs. I'm a dental assistant, so I wash my hands numerous times a day, but I wish more places would install hand sanitizer as well. Because let's face it, people, even if they do wash their hands, don't wash long enough. After using a public restroom, I'll wash my hands and use sanitizer that I keep in my purse.
