And where was Bender from Futurama who is Mexican, why was he left out?
My nephews and nieces saw the previews for this movie and we're like "why did they paint a blue arrow on that kid, why didn't they get an actual airbender avatar for the movie?" and I was all like "it's a lot better when you're stoned kids, trust me" and they were like "what?" and I was like "what? oh? forget I said that, don't tell your mom I said that ok?"

Jan 9th 2010 3:22PM An interesting article, but the essential premise that a Christian has a responsibility to share the "good news" and spread the word and bear witness to their faith was more applicable 2000 years ago. I think by now everyone has heard of Jesus and made up their own minds whether they want to be Buddhists or Christians. Spreading the word is no longer necessary and, as many folks are pointing out, it has transitioned from spreading the word to pushing my religion and its views and beliefs on other people. I like the point about Buddhists agreeing with the underlying nature of Buddhism, that was also my initial reaction as someone familiar with the tenets of Buddhism. What bothers me though is the implication that Christians when defined as any member of a Christian religion are de facto Christ-like. As the article points out, Buddhists in fact have a better track record of fidelity in marriage, but the article doesn't make the logical conclusion that, just like the fanatical Muslims yelling "Allahu akbar" as they blow up a plane, there is a large number of "Christians" who don't act christian (the word meaning "like Christ") at all. That's why Brit Hume's statement strikes so many people the wrong way as just another hypocritical and self-righteous statement from a religion that causes more harm than its name would imply.

Dec 30th 2009 2:25PM What exactly was the appeal of this show in the first place? He's a terrible ventriloquist, maybe as a live act people are too drunk and too far from the stage to notice. His voice and his puppets' voices are almost identical and with his lips moving whether he is talking or the dummy is supposed to be talking, it gets annoying very quickly. I guess you're supposed to know the dummy is talking when the words are racist, redneck bile. Ha ha, oh my sides. So unless you are Billy Bob from Alabama (I mean dave h) and willing to ignore the lack of talent and humor just to hear a good racist joke on TV, this show was not meant for you. He has a loyal following? Yeah, so did Hitler. Good riddance.

I am also overweight, but I have never identified myself as a fat person as if it is a class of human to be protected from by anti-discrimination laws, how absurd! It is a physical condition, an unhealthy one, and you should be doing everything you can to correct it before you shorten your life. Please people, keep making fun of me because I need the motivation to keep going to the gym. Those of you who buy a pint of ice cream every time a little kid points at you and laughs, sorry but you have a mental condition as well, seek help!
