Top 5 ways to annoy your airplane seatmate {Gadling}
Jun 23rd 2011 12:50PM Humming is good, singing under your breath is better. Reading aloud, just loud enough to be heard but not quite enough to understand what you're saying. Bring a mean, annoying lapdog in a carrier, but let it out and talk to it, dress it up or whatever, let it run around. Turning on the personal fan is a good one, don't aim it at yourself. If there's someone with you, share a blanket and make out, or argue.
David Arquette Kicked Out of Prince Show For Taking Pictures {PopEater}
Jun 9th 2011 3:37PM For everyone's information, no live venue allows people to take pictures during a show. This is not a Prince thing, this is what is expected when you attend any show with any artist.
Outrageous Concierge Requests {AOL Travel News}
Oct 20th 2010 10:07AM I once asked to be moved to a room where the toilet wasn't so low to the ground. I'm 5'1, if it's too low for me, it's just plain ridiculous! They said all their toilets were that low, it was supposed to be some modern design thing (this was a very upscale hotel in downtown Columbus). Thankfully I was only there for one night, but my knees were very unhappy.
Chuck E. Cheese Kid Check Not So Effective {ParentDish}
Nov 25th 2008 5:16PM I think the point was not to let the bad guys in on it, but to remind parents that, whatever the system may claim to do, they still have to keep a better eye on their kids then they have been. I, for one, am glad to know this, so that if I do find myself taking a group of kids there, that i know I can't count on the employees to do what they say they do.
Face Off! Bush's New Abortion Rules {Politics Daily}
Nov 20th 2008 2:26PM The right to choose MUST go both ways! To discrminate against practitioners who don't want to perform abortions or assist in them would be just as bad as discriminating against those who will perform or assist in them! How does this restrict anyone's reproductive rights, when they can just go to a different practioner who will perform their abortion? I'm pro-choice, by the way, and I believe that choice goes for all concerned!
Attleboro, Mass. threatens blind woman over 1-cent water bill {WalletPop}
Nov 19th 2008 5:01PM I was thinking of that myself. Personally, if I worked there and saw that, I would have just paid it myself. A penny? Really? Since they want to blame it all on the machines, can't they program the computer to only send out the notices when the amount past due is over a certain dollar amount? It can't be anything more than a few key strokes. This is a horrible waste of tax payers money. Everyone in the city should get together and send bags and bags of pennies in that poor woman's name, and keep doing it until they change their system to a more common sense based one!
CNN Makes Clear: This is Only a Hologram {Politics Daily}
Nov 6th 2008 1:22PM Okay, this may make me a total nerd, but this is not a Star Trek thing. The communication with the 3D hologram is a Star Wars thing, though they did mimick "beaming" her in like Star Trek. Also, they've had Star Trek series on the air a lot more recently than 35 years ago, and they all had the beam ins, but very few 3D hologram communications, and those were all alien technology, never Federation. If he and hos fact checkers can't even get that much straight (it's not possible that he doesn't know even one Trkkie), then what other, possibly more important facts did he foul up?
Holla If This $5-Footlong Ad is a Racist Dis {Blackvoices Main}
Oct 15th 2008 5:48PM I think it's more tacky then racist. At this point, white suburban kids talk like this way more than inner city black kids do! I think it's a lame attempt at grabbing youth, more so than black youth or even black people in general. It's dumb, but not offensive.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's kids won't inherit his money {ParentDish}
Oct 13th 2008 3:13PM Seriously, why would a British subject use his money to bail out the US economy? I don't think he even lives in the US, not full time, anyway. Even if he were a US citizen, it's not any one individuals responsibility to bail out the economy! I might have set up several charities in many different ares, besides just the arts, but he's following the passion God gave him, which will help many children in many ways besides just musically.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's kids won't inherit his money {ParentDish}
Oct 13th 2008 3:07PM That's exactly what I was thinking! 750 million is enough to split quite a few ways, why would it have to be all to your kids or none to them? Also, the AOL link said he "cut his kids out of his will" which is very misleading! He says he's still going to take care of them, they're just not getting it all. AOL sucks.
