Jan 6th 2012 11:46AM While researching another legal subject involving children I found out that in most states it is illegal to evict or discriminate against someone based upon age, even if the tenant/ homeowner signs a contract.

Mar 4th 2011 8:10PM My mother used to work with emotional support kids of the little boys age. When I first read this story I thought it was from the school she used to work at. There were kids in her class that were taken out in handcuffs because they were so unruly. In these classes they are allowed to say and do what they want as long as they don't touch anyone. Sadly a lot of these children are crack babies (I mean that literally) and I feel more sorry for them than angry.

Oct 14th 2010 4:47PM This is silly, your comment as well as some of the replies. How does America, Obama, and Blacks become related to this article? Can you vent somewhere more appropriate like an article related to your ideals. I didn't vote for the president either but I don't look for every article to vent on. Also I am multi-racial and it is sad because black people say I don't look black enough to consider myself as black (go figure) So I understand how the young lady in the article feels about trying to compete in a contest such as that. discrimination really is sad (its discrimination because racism is a hate and discriminating factor based up a persons race). I am glad that Ms. Lal won and I encourage all people to do what they are entitled to do in life.

Oct 7th 2010 4:06PM I agree Merlyn, also if everyone would look how the lady was dressed. If she was going to steal a car or anything I would think that she may wear something more fitting for the occasion. Also it is easy to get distracted and not notice that the lot is closing.

Sep 21st 2010 5:56PM Unfortunately a lot of school districts do not know how to handle bullying. Many others just do not care. It seems it is up to the parents to rationally take matters into their own hands if their children are not being protected by those they leave possession of their children to.
