What Happens if You Decline a Full Body Scan? {AOL Travel News}

Nov 17th 2010 8:33AM My son is with the TSA. He is not a weirdo or pervert.He served his time in Iraq and saw what happens from hidden explosives. He works hard to keep you safe when you fly.You just don't realize what all he and others with the TSA find and how ignorant many people are about what is not allowed on a plane- such as a box of grenades or other weapons.So if you have to have a scan just deal with it.Things could be worse if a plane blew up and they had to figure out who you were from what was left of you.

Vote for the worst airline employee ever {Gadling}

Jun 27th 2009 9:09PM As a parent of a TSA officer, you should hear about some of the "worst " passengers. One of them had the audacity to announce very boldly, " I'm exempt from all searches" and then she repeated that again to my son when he looked at her and said "what?"
He would have not even stopped her except her stupid remark was a red flag to
be searched. They found a large amount of marijuana taped to her thigh. She was not too smart.

Searching for a Dog? {AOL Hot Searches}

New TSA Blog Fields Complaints About Airport Security {Switched}

Feb 4th 2008 4:25PM This morning my 22yr old son was to have been sworn in to start a job with the TSA. He has gone through a lot of tests and hoops to prove fit enough.It won't be full time yet nor earn big time pay.He will go through lots of hours of training in the upcoming weeks. I assume that he can deal with the complaints and insults that will come his way- after all he went through Parris Island bootcamp and the pressures of war in Iraq.Once a Marine, always a Marine! He has a great sense of humor and is a fun person, I just hope that this job will be something he will enjoy and that he will be respected by the passengers. I have taught him to respect others.
He has aspirations to climb the ladder and I support what he is going to do with the TSA by starting out on the bottom rung.I just hope he will not let the rude,short-tempered passengers affect him. I recall the day he was flying out to go to his base and then leave for Iraq that some nice , caring transportaion security officers allowed his dad and me to go to the plane's gate with him. We were searched, of course, but were allowed to send our son off to war as he waited to board his plane.
Now, he is going to serve our country in a different manner- cut him and the other TSA officers some slack and think before you get mad at them- they will be doing the job they are trained to do.
