What's New at IKEA {Shelterpop}
Jan 19th 2010 3:32PM ...But IKEA stuff is made in Sweden.
A Kodak moment will now cost you at least $4.99 {WalletPop}
Apr 4th 2009 5:47PM Y'know, there is this nifty medium called "film." I know it's foreign to a lot of you nowadays. But those stay viable for 120 years, much longer than you'll likely need them. And, drastic concept, I know, once you've printed them, you'll never need to pay to store them. A shoebox suffices. Seriously.
Cindy McCain's Outfit Cost More Than My House {Politics Daily}
Sep 5th 2008 7:15PM I think that pointing this out furthers the arguement that McCain and his party are out of touch with the ordinary people of America. You really can't expect someone who has never lived a day in the life of the working class to know how to help them.
I have nothing against McCain or his wife. I'm sure they're probably pretty nice people, once you get down to it. But I would rather search for a candidate whom I can identify with, and place my vote with them.
Breast-Feeding "Lactivists" Revolt on Facebook {Switched}
Jul 23rd 2008 5:04PM Ok... while I don't think that breastfeeding counts as "Obscene" ... I don't really want to see it, either. Who takes a picture of themself breast-feeding their kid anyway? Who thinks all their friends want to see that?
Irate first class passenger pulls emergency slide, leaves plane {Gadling}
Jul 7th 2008 11:34PM Yeah... There's this thing called "patience." Radical idea, I know. But if people would exercise it more often, fewer wars would be fought.
Review: Eragon {Cinematical}
Dec 21st 2006 2:22AM I refused to read Eragon on the principle that the dragon on the cover of the book was ugly.
Now I'm glad to know I'm not missing anything.
My Fear of Mustard and Pickles Is Ruining My Life {Slashfood}
Jul 7th 2006 12:36AM I knew a girl who was afraid of chewing gum... She doesn't mind so much when other people chew it, though.
Bottom Five - Thanksgiving Off-Sides {Slashfood}
Nov 12th 2005 11:54AM My family does make candied yams, but there are no canned vegetables nor marshmallows involved. Just fresh yams and lots of butter and brown sugar. Actually, me being the culinary *genius* (coughdisastercough) that I am... that's just about the only thing I can manage to help my parents with on Thanksgiving. hehe.
Semi-Homemade - why not make it Really Homemade? {Slashfood}
Nov 4th 2005 10:37PM "32. I can't believe all the mean comments about Sandra Lee. I watch her show with my mom and we both like it. Great quick ideas and if some of you bored homemakers had any taste or creativity you might enjoy the show too. It sounds like a whole bunch of jealous women can't stand to see a pretty woman be good at sometime." Umm... sorry. Not a bored homemaker. (I'm actually a college student, currently) And I'd like to think I have a good bit more creativity than Sandra Lee. It's not the pretty face we're repulsed by. (That just helps) It's the fact that we could make better use of our time by turning off her show and making a meal from scratch than bothering to watch that drivel and following her advice.
