Galley Gossip: A question about why flight attendants are paid twice as much as teachers {Gadling}
Apr 14th 2009 11:38AM I'm so glad you like Vanity Fair too! Isn't it a wonderful magazine? The first issue I ever read was on an airplane trip 20 years ago -- I think the article was about Bette Midler. When I got home, I immediately subscribed to VF, and have read it faithfully ever since. So many wonderful hours of reading as a result of one great ride on an airplane.
Happy Birthday Gadling! Win free premium tickets to Amsterdam on OpenSkies! {Gadling}
Oct 10th 2008 12:10PM If I were to win the 2 free tickets to Amsterdam, I'd take my 78-year-old mother--she's never been to Europe. Then we could take one of the river cruises--perhaps the Rhine and the Danube. It's wonderful to travel with someone who's new to a given place; it's almost like seeing it again for the first time!
How to talk about Sarah Palin without Killing each other! {News Bloggers}
Sep 14th 2008 12:46PM The thing that really scares me about Palin is that she lets her husband sit in on official government meetings. What to do with used guidebooks? {Gadling}
Jan 28th 2008 10:30AM Try www.paperbackswap.com ... you trade your books (paperbacks OR hardbacks) to someone else, then you can request a book you want from yet a third person. The book you no longer need gets used again, and you get another book that you can use.
