Jami Bernard's Ad Rant: Halls Refresh gets fresh in the dorms {WalletPop}

Nov 17th 2009 6:08PM I didnt like they way they did it. How they had them looking at the floor, especially the kid until after she took the Halls. Then they look at each other. If it hadnt of been filmed the way they did it, I might have found it comical. I personally think its just plain stupid.

Fans Walk Out on Tracy Morgan During Raunchy Routine {Popeater}

Nov 16th 2009 2:45PM I am getting tired of hearing that term homophobic. Phobias are supposed to be a fear of something. However I had someone toss that at me just because I said I like women. Now, I have tolerated others who were gay, but they also respected me for my lifestyle. Lately it seems there are those who dont. If you cant respect the fact that like chasing after women instead of men, then I do not have to respect you for your lifestyle. It then does not fit into a category of fear but resentment. Push me far enough it can turn into hate. If you dont want that, then respect me for what I am and leave me alone.

Student Braves Controversy, Refuses to Recite Pledge {ParentDish}

Nov 14th 2009 9:33AM For those who think hillbilly is something bad, check back on things happening before and during the revolutionary war. It was a bunch of so called hillbillies that first declared their independence before the rest of the colonies. Then later when a British officer tried to go after them he camped on a mointain called Kings mountain. He said that neither God nor the devil would get him off that mountain. He was right, he is still there. They were ringed in and in between being wiped out and taking heavy casualties they lost. His grave is still there. They also have quite a history in WWI and more.

Student Braves Controversy, Refuses to Recite Pledge {ParentDish}

Nov 14th 2009 9:25AM I have mixed feelings about this. Like for example it wouldnt have hurt for him to have done it with everyone else. However, from what I see on the news, he is also following Obama's example in some ways. Even though at one ceremony Obama did put his hand over his heart for once while the national anthem was played. Also, yes he does have his constitutional rights and was exercising them. Like I had been taught, I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend your rights to say it. I also served in the military during the cold war and at the end of Vietnam.

You Better Believe It: Christian license plate reportedly banned by U.S. District Court {Autoblog}

Nov 12th 2009 9:14AM The thing against the seperation of church and state, goes way back to when the church had the power to order kings around. They even literally had to power to dethrone a king. Also something I kick hard about, is the fact that I would bet that if it were some other religion than Christian, it would be accepted. I might hear that they would be offended if it wasnt used . Well sorry about that, but our country was based on Christian ideals and beliefs. I say tough. Unless you want to believe that our founding fathers were actually in a cult like the Masonic lodge, and that Benjamin Franklin was practicing satanic rituals while attending meetings with the Hellfire club. Yes, I do agree though that plates produced by the state should have a state theme. Privately bought vanity plates though, are another thing and should not be stopped.

Walmart levies lifetime ban against gay couple {Daily Finance}

Nov 10th 2009 8:20AM I raised cain with Walmart corporate headquarters about how they were treating customers here in my town. Some of their employees were stopping and checking only blacks, indians, and mexicans along with those who appeared as hispanic. They were checking only them to see if they paid for their purchases or were stealing anything. Shortly after raising cain about it, suddenly they backed off and I saw a white woman being stopped. Lo and behold there was something on her cart she didnt pay for. She was escorted back in to straighten it out. I was one who used to be stopped just because I look Mexican. Now she and other jst say hi to me as I am leaving the store.

'Seth & Alex's Almost Live' Spoofs the Deaf: Was It Offensive? {Inside TV Blog}

Nov 9th 2009 5:29PM I watched it last night. As long as she was part of it and added to it, then yes it was funny. Anyone who got upset over it, then they need to get a life. We all have our faults and problems, we need to laugh at things instead of wanting to always fight.

Both Obama, Republicans Get Lower Marks on Working Together {Politics Daily}

Nov 9th 2009 8:52AM For those of you who think Obama's health care bill is so great think about this. While it was getting closer to passing, the insurance companies raised their premiums. Mine went so high that I would have work a third job to pay for it and keep a roof over my families heads along with buying groceries. Fortunately they had a plan that now only takes about half my pension check. Still that puts us in a pinch and I am working a part time job to help. I am also fighting for benefits that I paid for only to see them being handily given to illegal aliens and others. Many of the others have problems that can be helped but they dont want it, they want to hand outs from the government. My problems came from a industrial injury that I was accused of faking, only to have it flare up years later and now would take corrective surgery, and that might leave me severly crippled. The other came from a accident that crippled me further. Oh yes, I have health insurance, but am on a very fixed income and might still end up living on the streets. Also there is now talk that those without health insurance will be fined three to four thousand dollars. So if I drop the health insurance to have a place to live, I will be penalized. I served in the armed forces during Vietnam, I gave close to 29 years in state service. Is this right? All I get from Washington is the same ole same ole politicial rhetoric. You might laugh and say so what, I guess you deserve it. However, I might be able to laugh at you if you end up in the same boat. I had that happen before over different issues and I later got the last laugh, when those who laughed at me, wanted to cry about the same thing later. THINK PEOPLE, THINK HARD.

Hot Seat - Election Impact on Health Care {Politics Daily}

Nov 8th 2009 5:24PM I have raised a fuss with congress and Obama about maybe having to live on the street, but oh yeah, I would have health care. All I get of course is the typical political rhetoric along with talk about workers pay having been raised.I am on a fixed income, one of which is impacted by the current enconomic woes. That does not help me at all.
