Feb 24th 2013 12:47PM Right, rent what you cannot afford and then go to the govt to help pay it out of tax money! Not much different from buying a home you cannot afford and then snivel and cry for govt assistance to bail you out. No sympathy here and I think four swats is not enough! Maybe a tattoo on his forhead that says "deadbeat"
Jan 17th 2013 2:38PM i have a "pacifist" neighbor who hated guns till her house was burlarized. She knows I as a cop so she asked if I would use my gun to protect her home if they needed it! she is one liberal who values having gun owners in the neighborhood, and also realizes that we are not the people to fear, its arms in the hands of the crazies, the sociopaths and criminals.
Dec 2nd 2012 10:43AM Being on the flight deck of a plane being refueled is impressive too. The tanker people are totally professinal and clear concise comms between boom operator and pilot recieving fuel is critical. All too much of our ability to project power and to react to world events revolves around the men and women crewing those tankers.
Aug 15th 2012 11:04PM Well he certainly lived better than I did when I worked in NYC. Hell my family lived in a 18' trailer and a converted chicken house in Killeen Texas when I as a child. I know others lived in worse conditions and I always was well fed, clothes, etc. Still it would be nice to find out what actual qualifications this guy has and to learn why its all locked up. He has much to hide or it would not happen. but keep on voting for him sunshine. when there are no more producers left to tax, and nothing to give the non-producers, maybe then some one will get the message.
Jul 24th 2012 9:54PM Well this app might be nice, but the cell phone waiting lot is the best thing I have experienced in a long time. At some airports you can park in a nice parking lot, and wait for a call without driving around or fighing traffic. You get a call on your phone when the arriving person gets their luggage or just about to exit. You crank up and zip right there. No hassle and efficient.
Jul 2nd 2012 9:39PM this whole wet feet dry feet thing is so dumb it makes my hair hurt. We need to normalise relations with Cuba, (and Haiti) and make all immigration from those sites, follow normal immigration proecedures.
Damn., we did that with Vietnam and those people tried to kill me and I did the same to them. I really think the old school Cubans in Florida have lost their clout and we need to look to the needs of the nation and not a small group in a small place.
Jun 6th 2012 8:21PM I bet no one would dare to do anything if it was a mexican or other foreighn flag! That is the way things go these days.
May 31st 2012 5:03PM to many variables, too many different kinds of park, no clear cut yes or no answer is really possible that meets what both parks and visitors/users need. Examples: some places the critters are sick due to overpopulating. Some parks have many areas where hardly anyone goes except hunters and extreme campers - so do campers have more rights than hunters? some parks are surrounded by urban areas, and hunting may not be prudent. Lets get out of the black and white positions and look at the whole picture before getting all dogmatic.
Dec 24th 2011 3:09PM When my girlfriend (now my wife) lived in a gated community she was in the USAF and traveled often. a rep from the HOA said he needed a key so he could check on things when she was gone. He was always nosing around etc. She told him no but he kept asking and seemed to be always watching. When we married I moved in and the guy kept wanting a key etc. I told him if I caught him in our place I would shoot him and to mind his own business. He never came around again. After we moved he was caught trespassing and peeping on people. All too often jerks use the HOA as a lever to gain access or to pry. We will never live where they have one.
Nov 14th 2011 9:39PM A gimbel allows a container to remain with a part vertical while the base is moving like a ship in rough seas. Another system suspends an object (like a lantern or object that needs to stay upright or not spill contents). This one only deals with one form of movement, not those constantly varying. Still it is a nice try and quite simple so if its works, hooray for the inventor.
