Nov 17th 2011 10:17PM OMG!! Is there not one true animal lover out there? What is wrong w/ all these a-hole comments!? People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is a great organization!! Yes, they do some goofy things sometimes and of course they don't truly expect the town to change it's name, but it's about raising awareness, which they do quite well- and as for the idiot that drinks martinis and eats veal while making fun of his poor sister-in-law-she needs to tell her mother to shut up and go ahead and lecture him- I hope somebody eats his baby someday!!!!!

May 10th 2011 9:56AM Darlene- I enjoyed reading your facts about cats- and I know a few things about them- I've shared most of my 55 years on the planet w/ them- my Max living to be almost 21 years old, and I now care for 6 of them- a few more than we'd like to have, but oh well. My comment is simply that we have to stop refering to cats (and dogs or all animals) as "it". If you are an animal lover, you should surely agree w/ this. They are she's and he's just as we are- they are not things ( "its")- they are beings like us! This has bothered me for a long time- we need to refer to them as such!!!! Perhaps this sensitivity would even help to quelch animal abuse- hopeful!!!!

Student's Snow-Day Question Causes Internet Brouhaha {Switched}
Jan 24th 2008 12:56PM This young man had a legitimate question( at least in his mind) and sounded like he was respectful w/ his call. He was on the debate team for heaven's sake- he's probably an 'A' student. The "adult" Candy was completely out of line- maybe PMSing- I'm sure she has completely embarrassed her husband, who should've been the one to field the call, anyway- she needed to stay out of it!
