Jun 10th 2011 11:43AM Dawn, I agree with you that is is unfortunate (rather one-sided choice of words), of Prince Charles' indiscretion with Ms. Boles (who is no uglier than he), however, let us remember that if he had been a MAN earlier and married her before she got married to her first husband, Diana would never have married him or been involved in any Royal scandal. She would be alive in anonymity and her children would never be Royals. This entire thing should have taught us something about the harsh choices that life can teach one, so sympathy anf fortune really are relative, aren't they?

Oct 15th 2010 5:30AM I understand that while no one wants banking fees, a bank account shows a responsible means of establishing one's credit rating. One should stay within their means, but it is necessary in this society, rich or poor, to be responsible. Pure and simple. Yes, you may be able to "live without banks", but you'll NEVER get anywhere or have anything solid, after your retirement. Save, save, save. Don't you understand that it's necessary? In that frame of mind, you can make your money WORK for YOU.

Mar 6th 2010 5:36AM Racism has NO place at the Oscars venue. Pure and simple. All actors are considered for their very convincing performances. Historically, it went through some turbulent changes, however, the premise was always to award the Best Performance by any one actor for their unique performance! You "other" award shows only exist because some people refuse to see that. If you goal is to see that sort of thing, then watch those shows and leave Oscar alone.

Feb 14th 2010 4:01PM Well, I'm not at all surprised about Bruce Karatz's trial for stock fraud. It seems that company can't seem to stay clear of any trouble or scandal. I worked for KB Home (Kaufman & Broad) for 6 months, before Septmeber 11, 2001 and I can only say that it never felt "right" as a job. I finally left and the rest is HISTORY. I can't imagine selling that kind of crap to customers. It's not right!
Maybe working for a homebuilder brings satisfaction to some, but I could not perpetuate the lies...

Get OVER IT and accept the awards that for whatever reason they Choose to possibly acknowledge you. It's the same thing with the Academy Awards and The Tony Awards! Has our society become so self-important and SELFISH, that we feel the need to "toot our own horns!" As a listener of ALL kinds of music, start your own awards shows or SHUT UP! Jan 27th 2010 4:14PM McDonalds simply HAS to grow up and GET OVER IT! People should be free to use the names that were given to them and no one should have the right to tell you that it can't be done! If a court is necessary to enforce this principle, then so be IT! It's a waste of time however, since many people already alphabetize or embellish words with the "Mc"...McMansion, for instance. It really doesn't matter since it suggests " a mass-produced larger house with all of the gaudiness intact." I applaud Ms. McClusky for her efforts and sincerely hope that she makes something make something from ALL of this McNonsense!
