Apr 12th 2011 8:07AM While working in a private non-denominational school a few years back we had 2 sisters that were Jehovahs. We had to arrange every holiday celebration around them so the parents wouldn't get upset, they refused to stand for the pledge, didn't celebrate any holiday, weren't allowed to be in the class when it was another child's birthday and we had cake and sang, any classwork that they did had to be tailored to their non-religious symbol belief and that still wasn't enough. I was so angry about having to bend over backwards to try and please these parents, I left. No matter what we did, it wasn't enough. That's what's going on in the world today. No matter how hard we try to please everyone, there will always be the few that think it's not enough. Know what I say, SCREW YOU. You have your beliefs and I have mine, this is America, don't like it? Get the hell out and go to another country and see how that PC crap works out for you.

Mar 4th 2011 9:35PM I've been working with kids with autism for 6 years now and I have been punched, kicked, spit on, had my glasses knocked off my face and broken, gotten a fat lip and had my hair pulled so many times, I cut it very short. This is in a public school setting where the mood in a class can go from fine to insanity in a flash, sorry to say folks, but alot of these kids DO NOT BELONG IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL. There are many alternative schools out there but the parents feel their child is entitled to a public school education. I have a child with a disability myself so I do not speak ignorantly, just realistically. When the police have to be called to protect the other students and the teacher in the class, it's time to start thinking of placing that child elsewhere.
