Oklahoma Civil Rights Icon Clara Luper Passes Away {BV Black Spin}
Jun 13th 2011 7:23PM Wow Bill, are we a racist? People like you are what's wrong in this country and the world. You and all your nasty friends should get back to watching your favorite show "Hillybilly HJand Fishing".
RIP Ms. Luper
Freekibble and Halo Team Up for 5 Millionth Meal {Pawnation OLD}
Apr 15th 2011 5:13PM I love this Freekibble program, but I don't believe it helps shelter pets in any way. They are still given the same amount of time as if the shelters weren't given free food. Animals come in and are put down so many days later. How much free kibble they get does nothing for the high rate of animals quickly destroyed in this country. Sadly, it does not prolong their stay or life in any shelter. I'd rather see so much free kibble go to feral feeders and rescue groups who work tirelessly to save the animals who nobody cares about and keeps them off of death row at the shelter. I'll continue to click this link daily, I know the good deed is there. We have no control over local shelters and their policies.
California's proposed shark fin ban stirs up debate over global politics of culinary delicacies {Gadling}
Apr 13th 2011 12:31PM I'm no fan of sharks and I certainly don't want to run into one. That being said, shark finning in recent years has depleted these creatures from our oceans. Even worse is the manner in which these beings are mutilated and left to a painful death. These practices along with many others including whale killing and dolphin and seal slaughter should be put to an end. Some civilizations do continue these practices for their lifestyle. The corporations making a slew of cash for these horrid practices should absolutely be banned. Nobody needs it, it's all about the money. Live and let live, leave them all alone . . . yes even sharks.
Jets vs. Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger Clutch, Pittsburgh Bound for Super Bowl {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Jan 24th 2011 12:08PM I'm not a fan of the Steelers but I'm thrilled they beat the Jets. The Jets were so nasty and loudmouthed the two previous playoff games. They were completely classless and teams like that NEVER belong in a Superbowl. Maybe if the Coach and players were able to act as civilized human beings, they'd actually get somewhere. Today I'm smiling, they lost. Maybe there is a God!
Dennis Byrd's Inspirational Message Reached Jets in New England Upset {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Jan 17th 2011 12:10PM To the surprise of many, the Patriots seemed to miss the first half of the game. They lost, enough said and their season is over. No surprise to us football fans in SoCal, the Jets remain completely classless with their nasty comments and actions on the field. They won, yes. In the process they remain still the laughing stock of the NFL. Respect is something nobody on this team earned or will ever deserve.
I do hope whatever Jets players incited helmet to helmet contact in the second half are fined for their actions. It's so dangerous and such a sissy way to play. Others were fined this season, I was not surprised to see it happen again.
At least Mr. Brady remains a gentleman on and off the field. Watching LT making a jerk of himself is something we watched for years out here. Some things never change. Hopefully the Jets organization will take a long look at the actions of their staff and players and teach them some manners and civility. Good luck next week!
'Dancing With the Stars:' Who's Not Dancing in the Finale? {AOL TV}
Nov 17th 2010 12:21PM I have nothing against Bristol Palin. She didn't belong on the show in the first place. She's a household name because of her quack-a-doodle mother and her morality based, bigoted political party, which really hyas no morals. But seriously, it took guts for her to do the show. That being said, who the hell is voting for her? She just can't dance and should have been gone by week 2 or 3. Are you people who vote for actually watching? Top two dancers should have been Brandy and Jennifer and Kyle in the final 3. He's at least entertaining and really doing well. Bristol is just like a stiff board moving her feet, it's a joke that anybody is dumb enough to vote for her. But then again, look at the nut jobs just voted into congress!
Larcenous Packers Defense Makes Anemic Jets Eat Their Words {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Nov 1st 2010 3:58PM Watching the Packers beat the Jets was just priceless! I don't care who your favorite team is, it was awesome!
'Dancing With the Stars' Results : Who Got Voted Off? (VIDEO) {AOL TV}
Oct 20th 2010 11:24AM Wow, Palin nees to go. So unfair that Florence was sent packing. And why do they keep underscoring Kyle. He's so much fun to watch and is doing so good.
Tony La Russa, Dusty Baker Ejected as Cardinals, Reds Fight {Fanhouse MLB Blog}
Aug 11th 2010 9:57AM After watching the "whole" replay, I finally saw the "friendly" taps on the catchers shin guards. Hubby was watching the Reds network and they never showed that until much later. I can't say I wouldn't have been offended either if someone ran their mouth off like that and then tapped me with his bat at the plate. There was nothing "friendly" about his gesture or his message. And who was the guy kicking like a girl when he was backed up to the net. That alone was completely amusing. Kicking. . . really?
