The Women in the Tiger Woods Scandal {PopEater}

Dec 2nd 2009 8:21PM Should he have broken his marriage vows, definitely not. But, these women knew he was married and should never have pursued a relationship with a man they were clearly aware was married. Did Tiger exercised poor judgment, absolutely. But, these women were just looking to score some time in the limelight, have something to tell their friends, and maybe even pocket some big bucks in the process.

The Savings Experiment - What's the Best Way to Ship Your Gifts? {Shopping Articles Blog}

The Savings Experiment - What's the Best Way to Ship Your Gifts? {Shopping Articles Blog}

Nov 20th 2009 4:36PM Am I the only one who noticed that the total shipping cost entered into column 5 in the tables above for FedEx are not consistent with the initial "cost" entered into column 3?
Let's hope the accounting department at FedEx does a better job or we will have another major company going out of business.

Gadling's guide to getting better seats {Gadling}

Jul 21st 2008 3:30AM The first time I travelled to Hawaii, my seats were changed on the return trip. For the first 5 hours of the overnight flight, the 4-year old girl behind me screamed and carried on kicking my seat the entire time. Her mother did nothing to quiet her. This was in 1985 when the flight crew was not allowed to do anything. My second trip 11 years later wasn't much better. Again we were moved on the return trip. This time to the rear of the plane where there were more disruptions due to a group of physically/mentally challenged passengers. I walked the aisle carrying my 5-year old most of the night trying to get her to sleep. I swore if I ever went back to Hawaii, it would be in first class. Well, finally (I hope) I won't have to worry that I will be moved again. I will be travelling to Hawaii soon - in first class. The 4 tickets were purchased 330 days in advance for a $10 fee using miles I had been accumulating for years using a reward credit card. I direct-booked with the hotels and kept calling back to check on the rates. Last month I received a discount of $800 for my accomodations on Maui. Last week I asked again and got a free night saving me another $800.
Now, does anyone know how to get "free" access to the Admiral's Club? Aloha!

Test your AOL Favorites import functionality {Desk Top Blog}

May 1st 2008 6:05PM For some inexplicable reason my favorites and mailbox (both current mail and "saved on my PC") were gone when I logged on Monday morning. This happened once before and I was able to restore most of the data from a saved file. This time, however, I was only able to briefly restore my favorites (they disappeared about 10 minutes later, never to be seen again). As for the mail, I wasn't able to restore any of my archived correspondence. In addition, I cannot access my new or old mail through AOL. My mailbox shows 15 new messages, but I get a blank page when I try to open it. The "old mail" sometimes appears when I click on the tab, but then vanishes before my eyes. I can only access my mail by going through IE to the aol site. I tried to update from 9.0 SE to 9.1, but it drove me nuts to constantly have the software open when I did not want it to. So, I uninstalled 9.1 and tried to reinstall 9.0 SE from a disc I had. That wouldn't run. The log on page kept freezing and would not let me sign on to AOL. Now I am reduced to using AOL beta and I still can't import my favorites (.pfc) because the file is not in the correct format(?)Does anyone have any suggestions. I have spent the last 4 days trying everything I could think of to recover my favorites that represent about 3 years of work-related bookmarks, not to mention tags regarding my fast approaching vacation. HELP!!!

Girl Scout Cookies: Old favorite, learning opportunity, or clever scam? {WalletPop}

Jan 7th 2008 4:04PM About 7 years ago I read a story online that said when the sales period was over, any remaining cookies were destroyed. I was furious that the council would do such a thing rather than donate them to a food bank or shelter. That's when I stopped buying their darn cookies.
