Jan 8th 2008 12:01AM Thank you and Amen. Incidentally the GAO people already knew our weaknesses when they tested us. The fact remains that their hasn't been one attack while we minded the store. But that is likely to change when the next person gets in office and dismantles homeland security thanks to the mismanagement of the Bush Administration (and the corruption that is prevalent).

Jan 6th 2008 10:23PM Respect goes both ways. You want it , then earn it. That is what I was taught by my parents and the US Army. Most Americans act like they should be treated like celebrities.

Jan 6th 2008 9:51PM The public has forgotten that Sept. 11th happened for one (or they think Bush did it). Another thing is people seem to think that they must be addressed like royalty. The TSA are federal officers and are constantly tested on an almost monthly basis. The stress a screener feels upon a daily basis is more then you in your damn office will ever feel. We do all this so you and yours can fly safely throughout this country. If the public would pay attention to our rules then there wouldn't be a problem. I don't care what Atlanta allowed through and I don't have to say please or thank you in order for you to comply. We should be accorded the same respect as a police officer. Most of the public are ignorant , belligerent snobs who look down their noses at anyone in a uniform. Then you wonder why a TSO talks to you in a stern manner? Oh by the way..cell phones have METAL in them , yes water IS a LIQUID & taking your computer out of your bag but putting the bag on the computer is the equilivant of leaving it in the bag. That was for all you highly educated security experts. -An anonymous TSO.
