Salty or sweet, crepes are sure to please {Slashfood}
Apr 10th 2008 7:46PM I know it's heresy but these ultra cheap pans from Ikea absolutely rock at making crepes (which I do for my wife a few times a week). These and Pam spray: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/96225800

Airport Security, Knife Woes and a Hypodermic Needle {Gadling}
Aug 14th 2007 12:05AM Shortly after 9/11 I made it through security with a fairly large knife (unintentionally). It was when they were still doing secondary searches before boarding. I figured if I mentioned this to someone LAX would be shut down... so I went to the bathroom, wrapped it in paper towels so no-one would notice it and threw it away. I was still paranoid someone would find it in the trash and they'd shut down the airport. Man is airport security pointless.
What's amusing is the fact that you could really fuck someone up wit a cork screw - but those knives on corkscrews are so dull you couldn't even open an envelope with on.

Jul 6th 2007 9:25PM Sprint's EVDO wireless broadband network has pretty amazing coverage but, the 2 year $60/mo agreement does make it a bit hard to swallow - but - it is fast. My wife was live blogging along I-90 during her recent drive across country... she claims she got coverage most of the way.
For camping in the stix (i.e. no cell phone single) I think you're looking at sat-phones... expensive and very slow... that's what we use when we're off shore sailing.
