Apr 29th 2009 2:37PM If you believe that this huge folly was carried out without the knowledge or approval of either the president or vice president, then this administration has some very, very serious leadership problems for certain. I cannot fathom how anything of this magnitude and total, complete insensitivity to the people of NYC, and this nation, could be approved without knowledge of such plans either reaching the attention of the two top officials in the White House, when so many others in top positions knew about it. That's the huge lump to swallow in this debacle. Even if it's possible, somehow, that they did not know, then that alone is a huge concern in their governing style, NO ONE should ever be given such latitude by the President of this nation to carry out such deplorable lame brain plans without first getting the president's approval. Even so, HE is still the one ultimately accountable for EVERYone's actions under him. That's how it's always been and should always be. I, for one, cannot believe that neither Obama nor Biden had any knowledge of it beforehand... but if they did not, then that poses an even greater concern to me, coupled with the inexcusable added tax burdens to the American people who are already buried under this administration's unprecidented lavish giveaways of our hard-earned tax money to irresponsible, greedy institutions and corporate heads. And that is coupled with the TOTAL lack of wisdom and cohcerh on the part of those who carried this out (AND those who approved it) for the citizens of NY and the U.S.A! After 100 days into the count, I'm shell-shocked already.

Jeremiah Wright's church, it should not be overlooked-- as it seems to largely be as yet-- that Obama remained in a church for 20 years with a pastor who makes such strong defamatory statements FROM THE PULPIT against America, as well as his other offensive remarks. This is a very important point and deserves close scrutiny -- and I would make this point regarding ANY presidential candidate in this same situation. Clearly, Rev. Wright expresses much pent-up hatred in his heart. We can be sure that these incidents of espousing such statements were not the first times during the 20-year period of time that the Obamas continued to attend this church and be loyal supporters of Rev. Wright. Obama even defended Rev. Wright after all the controversy began over the last few months. So where was any past (natural) offense at any of Rev. Wright's verbal attacks against America, et al? Only, and I repeat ONLY, until it became a matter of great political pressure on his campaign did he make the final decision to resign from his church and try to distance himself from his pastor's angry rhetoric against his own country, as well as Obama's country! In his recent speech advising of his resignation from his church of 20 years, as the readers will recall, Obama presented his decision based primarily on appeasing the public - not based or focused on the truth that Rev. Wright's anti-American ravings were very wrong,dangerous and inciteful to the church congregation and to the public of the U.S. Hillary Clinton point-blank said that if this man (Rev. Wright) had been her pastor and said such things, he would no longer be her pastor after that! She was angry, as should Obama have been -- LONG ago -- but it took a lot of political pressure to finally force his hand in leaving Rev. Wright and this church. Then, the reason came across as being the public's fault, not his. Meaning, the harm being caused by public pressure (loyal, offended U.S. citizens)to his political standing -- not any sincere remorse on his part for having chosen to stay and support a pastor for 20 years who makes such anit-American remarks from the pulpit. Further, this resignation only came after Rev. Wright CONTINUED to rant the same types of statements in other circumstances and events, creating further politcal pressure on Obama.
WAKE UP America - and see the Big picture here - then ask yourself some very serious questions about this candidate.
Energy-Saving Bulbs Causing Migraine Headaches {Switched.com}
Jan 2nd 2008 11:33AM I have tried these new bulbs and have had them removed from my house. I would never voluntarily use them again. The light is dimmer (same wattage as traditional bulbs), depressing, and hurt my eyes, which will start headaches, as well. I'm concerned about the higher mercury content, disposal problems, and agree that they have not been adequately researched before jumping another cost-cutting bandwagon, which will, I believe, end up creating more expense in other ways in the final picture.
