Potential new law renders travel writers liable for recommending "risky" locations {Gadling}
Apr 22nd 2011 4:05PM I have truly seen the light! I will henceforth recommend hotels in Europe with baths way the hell down the hall, so far down the hall that no one without a car will be able to go there on a weekend because bathrooms are about the worse place in the world for their lofty frequency of accidents. Thank you, Hawaii for your help in making me see this bright, shinning light! No skiing, no shaking what's left of your booty at the evil dance hall, and no getting on that plane! Things can happen!

Good news to end the year with: TSA withdraws subpoena of "leak blogger" {Gadling}
Jan 1st 2010 9:28AM Ok, so you drop a subpoena with no legal basis on someone you know doesn't have access to a huge legal team, get the information you're searching for, then drop the subpoena before anyone gets wise--and everyone thinks you didn't plan it that way?
Not such a good thing methinks.

Travel to US declines despite global tourism boom {Gadling}
Dec 17th 2007 7:33PM Can the author reveal the source of the information? This document (pdf):
http://tinet.ita.doc.gov/outreachpages/download_data_table/Historical_arrivals_2000_2006.pdf
seems to indicate a slight increase in foreign visitors to the US for 2006.
Thanks,
james
