Sep 18th 2010 2:58AM If you will remember it was not too long ago that that idiot NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, a leftist Georgetown grad, decided that NFL locker rooms had to become Chippendale shows for female reporters. He mandated that reporters of both sexes were to be given full unrestricted access to NFL locker rooms at all times. He refused NFL coaches requests that a 15 minute period immediately after games be allowed without reporters present to allow players to shower and dress. He further went on to ban the installation of locker curtains from behind which players could temporarily shield themselves while dressing. I worked with a man who was an NFL player during the strike period and he played as a scab. He said that Tagliabue and his goons even frowned upon players donning robes to do the finally portion of undressing, walking to the shower and redressing. Tagliabue wanted them naked to the world it seemed so if any female/gay reporters were there for the stag show, they would not be denied. One of his funniest stories was of 300 bs. + female reporter who would grab 2 of the players locker stools and prop her ass on them in front of the locker of whomever she intended to interview. If Tagliabue had known he would have probably mandated she be provided with an extra wide recliner.

Sep 18th 2008 11:03PM Is this country now so ignorant that it even cares what manure dribbles from the mouth of a self absorbed, media chasing, drunken, drug addled so called "pop star" and self proclaimed slut anyhow? Why is it that the media seems to thin we want to hear what these entertainment idiots thin anyhow. We were made to beleive that Meryl Streep knew more about alar being put on apples a while back. She testified before Congress on the issue instead of a scientist or doctor. They should all take a lesson from the late Elvis Presley. When asked about issues his answer was always the same, "I'm just an entertainer." Maybe we would like to hear what informed and educated people think about issues and politicians occasionally.

Dec 29th 2007 1:13AM We got some pretty straight answers from Jose Canseco. He revealed all and got this whole doping issue to the forefront. For whatever reason he did it is still up for debate but it is very compelling that he named Rafael Palmeiro as having used steroids and then was called a "liar" by Curt Schilling at the Congressional hearing. Now Schilling is condemning Roger Clemens and telling him to return his Cy Young awars. I think Schilling should have learned his lesson and keep his trap shut now. Soon after Palmeiro was suspended for testing positive and now again has been named in the Mitchell report. I really liked Palmeiro for his low key approach as a player but I think his chances for the Hall of fame are blown completely since his positve test and the subsequent events. What should come from all this is that we again view Roger Maris, Hank Aaron and the Babe as the real home run kings and let a new , undoped generation of players take a shot at their legitimate home run records.

Then look at one in his later Yankee/Astro/Yankee days a see how much larger his head, is especially in the jaw area. Long steroid use typically causes enlargement in this area. Same thing seems to have happened with Barry Bonds and Giambi.

Dec 21st 2007 2:31PM This is really stupid and inconsiderate of the person who soiled the seat. If a child or even adult urinates in a seat, all that need to be done is to inform a flight attendant and they will have the seat cushion changed at the next stopover.

Dec 15th 2007 1:47PM The ones who are not named in the Mitchell report and should be are the owners. They loved the packed seats when McGwire, Bonds and Sosa were chasing the records. They took a blind eye to what was going with steroids and paid these players hugely for their chemically enhanced performances. Anyone who has ever trained with weights seriously knows how difficult it is to get as big as these players were without chemical help. A similar compariosn can be seen by looking at 1950's-60's bodybuilding champions, like Larry Scott, in comparison to the modern steroid ballooned behemoths. Some of us were never fooled and could not believe that baseball officials turned their heads. When Canseco spilled his guts, they could not look away anymore otherwise it would still be ignored in the name of profits.
