More precious info on how to bring wine back from abroad {Gadling}

Dec 4th 2007 5:58PM well, through the years my dad's been perfecting this very same thing. I have family in Spain and you can bet that pretty much every time we come back every summer, my dad brings wine bottles, as many as he can. How? well, one method is to stick 2 bottles on every handbag he can get his hands on, including MY backpack. He's stuffed at most 3 bottles on my backpack. And don't forget the 6 bottle crate on his own bag (with wheels), which the bottles fit nicely. He only wraps them in paper and then some clothes when he puts it in that bag. (he's been known to smuggle 12 bottles on a single trip)
What my sister does when my dad tells her to bring wine, is stuff the wine bottles in a giant ziploc bag, then stuff that bag in between the clothes on her baggage. So far I think he's only broken one bottle.
