May 11th 2013 3:34PM The reason for rent control was very greedy property owners who were gouging low income tenants. More power to her since she befriended and elderly man in need of friendship(im 69 and envy him her companionship). Just think of the $$ in social services she saved the city. I do think that there should be an adjustment clause when ownership changes; however it cant be to full market.

People who have no feelings about what others think or believe do exactly like they want in non HOA neighborhoods resulting in dogs running wild, shabby homes and yards, parties at all hours, cars parked on the street so they can use their garage for an extra bedroom. It is unfortunate this man with such an illustrious career has not learned to follow the rules. He agreed to them when he bought his condo.. come on Sarge..toe the line.

He didnt make very much but it was a position of community trust in Carrollton Ohio and he and his whole family were looked at as pillars of the community. I faithfully put a quarter in their Christmas club each week. Confident it would be there in December.
What happened? when did the pillars of society become the scourge of the working folks.

THe possesion of any unregistered firearm should be a misdemeanor and the use of an unregistered firearm in a crine should be an added felony.
Ending of all gun sales at "gun shows" and on the web.
I own a handgun. I believe in the 2nd Amendment but I am against those (NRA and cohorts) who twist its intention for their own benifit.

Oct 24th 2012 8:13PM I live in Texas 7 miles from the border. Is travel in Mexico safe absolutely NOT!
In fact yesterday the cartels highjacked an 18 wheeler on Expresway 83 in OUR COUNTRY. People, especialy of Mexican descent, routinely go into Mexico and are never heard of again and yesterday our Border Patrol was fired upon by Cartel members across the Rio Grande as they were chasing a bunch of trafficers back to the river. Our Sheriff boasts of the safety of S Texan at the same time that he and his deputies have been marked for death by the cartels.
Stay away from here until we put some troops on the ground for protection. Dont bring your business or family here.
