It's a Boy for Josh and Anna Duggar {PopEater}
Jun 16th 2011 11:58AM Actually the article is wrong. The children have 25 aunts and uncles. They left out Anna's 7 siblings.
I congratulate them on their new arrival. Any child should be celebrated. That's whats wrong with our society. We are negative, hateful people that worry more about whats going on in someone else's home than whats going on in our own. What does it matter to the haters how many children these people have? They don't affect your daily life. Children should be loved and protected, no matter how they came into this world. I am an Atheist and I like to watch the Duggars. Not for their beliefs, but for the way they raise their children and the way they treat others. If all families could raise just one child the way Michelle raised 19, the world would be a better place!
'Genderless' Baby Raises a Storm of Controversy {ParentDish}
May 26th 2011 7:51PM I have 3 older sisters who are all a year and a half apart. When they were young Mom liked to dress them up in matching little dresses, frilly socks and such. 4 years later, I came along and her energy to dress us all up waned and I was free to do as I pleased, for the most part. I was the tom boy of the family. I had no limitations put on me. I preferred to play with the neighborhood boy, riding bikes, climbing trees, playing with G.I. Joe's and Hot Wheels. While my sisters have had illegitimate children, divorces, bad relationships with boyfriends and self esteem issues, I am the one who has come out with a successful marriage (23 years), positive self esteem, good body image (although I am overweight, compared to my skinny sibs) and a higher education (where they struggled just to get out of high school). So maybe there is some truth to the idea of not putting limits, gender or otherwise, on our children and just letting them be who they are meant to be. As an example of gender judgement I had my son at a store one day. An elderly woman commented on his long curly hair that went down to his waist. "Oh, she has such beautiful hair!" When I told her my child was a boy, she proclaimed "HE needs a haircut!" What difference does it make what gender he was with his beautiful hair? And why is it any of her business or anyone else's? Let these people raise their children as they see fit! It's not hurting the child!
Grace Jones: Transforming Into the Beauty Icon {Stylelist}
May 19th 2011 8:21AM Although the model (Dana Oliver) looks beautiful both before and after the transformation, I don't think she looks like Grace Jones. I would call it a G.J. "inspired" look more than a look-alike. Actually, the more I look at it, she reminds me more of Holly Robinson-Peete than Grace Jones.
Top Fashion Picks From the Tribeca Film Festival 2011 {Stylelist}
Apr 23rd 2011 8:36PM They look like 12 year old girls playing dress up in their Mommy's clothes! This is not a good photo of them at all!
Would You Let Your Boyfriend Do Your Makeup? These Girls Did! (Videos) {Stylelist}
Apr 21st 2011 11:55AM Omar was too cute with all the sound effects. guy #3 was pretty good as well. #2 just made a mess! I would love for my husband to try this. I think it would be fun to see how much he actually pays attention when he watches me do it myself.
I think all the people who made negative comments are either jealous or just angry at the world and don't know how to have a little fun and add spice to the romance! What is so wrong with having your man do this everyday task? Men think they can do everything so well... so let them try putting on the make up. If they mess up, just wash it off!
Stupid Employee Trick of the Day: Workers Trash $50K Artwork {AOL Jobs}
Feb 20th 2011 9:15AM I thought it was a "Hidden Mickey" on a Mickey statue! Doesn't even look like a cactus to me. What a waste of money!
Neil Patrick Harris' New Role: Making Twins Laugh {PopEater}
Jan 31st 2011 10:32AM I would rather have two gay parents raise happy, healthy and loving children than to be stuck in a home made up of a Mother and Father where there are drugs, violence, molestation or even the instance of "staying together for the kids".
Not saying that this does not occur in homosexual homes, but it is more prevalent (especially the molestation) in heterosexual homes.
I can remember back in the day when people were against interracial marriages because "the kids will suffer for it".
As long as the child is raised in a happy, healthy environment, why should it be anyone else's concern who the parents are??? Yet when children are being physically and sexually abused neighbors tend to turn a blind eye. Choose your battles people. Protect the children from the bad parents, not the gay ones!!
Elton John Doesn't Care If His Son Is Gay or Straight {PopEater}
Jan 27th 2011 10:24AM Do you know who has gay babies? Straight people! So leave gay people alone who want and can't have children of their own. They are raising happy, healthy children that the straight people are throwing away!!!
I have many friends who were molested by their straight fathers, Uncles, brothers, etc. I was molested by a straight man. If I had a choice to be raised by a straight man who took advantage of me or two gay men, I would choose the gay men a thousand times over!
Leave it alone! If you can't be happy for them, then just shut up!
Oprah's Half-Sister Now Must Pass the 'Gayle Test' {PopEater}
Jan 27th 2011 9:53AM I don't think Gayle is that petty. I doubt that Gayle is losing sleep, worrying about losing Oprah's friendship. She doesn't have anything to worry about.
Would You Have Your Wedding in a Funeral Home to Save Money? {WalletPop}
Jan 26th 2011 8:16AM My husband and I met at a Funeral Home. He was the crematory operator and I was the Embalming assistant. There was a cemetery that had a beautiful Gothic looking chapel where they held the interments that I wanted to get married in. My mother put her foot down and would not let me. If it weren't for my mom (and me giving into what she wanted for MY wedding) I would have had it there! I didn't choose any of the chapels at any of our branches because I didn't like how they looked. I chose to have a garden wedding instead. We did get married on Halloween, though.
