Welcome to the first airline-owned restaurant! {Gadling}
Sep 21st 2009 7:44PM Blame your fellow diners. Trans Air Restaurant's waffles may have been delicious at one point, but all the dining public ever cared about was price--Trans Air's were top-notch but $6.95, and Denny's across the street sold half-baked ones for $4.95. Guess who sold more.
When waffles become a commodity in the public's mind and they can't differentiate made-from-scratch ones from Eggos, price is king, and restaurants like Trans Air have had to change their business practices to accomodate that.
Of course, blame stays on Trans Air for not keeping their costs under control (expensive labor force, bloated management, high-cost/unprofitable neighborhood locations, etc.), but that's not the whole story.

I could try...
