Dec 9th 2012 9:11AM About 20 yrs ago, I bought a used Highway Patrol car at a salvage yard, that had been bought at a dealer auction. Drove it for 6 mo, before deciding to replace the rubber mats with carpet, and have the seats reupholstered. tearing up the flooring, I found a bag of approx 2lbs of a white powder substance, hiding under the front passenger seat. It was over 100 degrees that day, and I was in a hurry, so I threw it in the trash can with the other junk. A few days later, I realized what it prob was.

May 31st 2012 8:47PM This is usually done with one purpose... to lessen the number of animals that a particular area can provide food and shelter to. Almost always it is a archery season. If you want no one to regulate this, travel to Yellowstone or any one of several other northern states where the bear and wolves have decimated the deer and elk herd. Not counting farm animals. When they run out of kills, here you are, camped in the middle of a pack of hungry wolves. Maybe you can talk them out of eating you alive, tearing your legs up before they bring you down. Can't Huff find someone that is knowledgable on this subject? BTW, hunters don't haul their deer around on hoods anymore. You birdwatchers and city meat eaters don't contribute anything to the management costs associated with keeping animal herds healthy. Hunters for many decades have beared these costs through added taxes on hunting gear and license fees, buying land and setting up reserves for sanctuary areas. Check out the Rocky Mtn Elk Foundation, or North American Hunter and many other orgs that have done it for yrs. Last yr I spent almost $3000 to hunt elk in Co. didnt get one, but will try again. This money went to the wildlife division to pay for warden salaries, management, etc. How much have you contributed to the animals to be able to see one in the woods?
