Passenger put on No Fly List for using iPad {Gadling}

Oct 28th 2010 9:49AM As a 4 million mile air traveler, the bottom line is this, obey the simple rules and make your life and fellow passengers easier.

In todays tech world, some people, usually male travelers, are arrogant and addicted to their pda's, laptops, Ipads, cell phones, you name it.

They think they are entitled to do what they want, after all the airline should be lucky they chose to travel on it. This is the "me" do what I feel like generation.

Probaby these are the same guys that drive in the HOV 2 lane in rush hour, that go through lights when they are yellow, that really don't stop at stop signs, and expect to be given the exception to every rule.

You see them on a lot of flights now days, and since it is boring during boarding and being handicapped now I board slowly and early, I sit there and figure out who is going to be the problem "person" on the flight. I am usually correct.

It doesn't matter if you don't like the airline, the seats are dirty, the F/A's are not friendly in your opinion, there is no meal, the plane is late, TURN it off.

There is nothing in life that urgent or important, that you can not turn off that piece of equipment, You want to feel that you are the exception to the rest of the passengers, you can do what you want!

Billy Sims (Sort of) Apologizes for Being Obnoxious at Heisman Ceremony {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}

Dec 17th 2008 3:48PM I don't think his yelling and yelling added to the celebration at all.

This was not a football game, a frat party, a late night bar.
It was the highest awards show and everyone was dressed in suits and had their manners on, but Billy.

Imagine if everyone at this event started yelling like they were at a wild party. It was NOT his time nor his place to do this.

He is always trying to get attention, even after all these years.
He says it is because of his great affection for the college.

Well, a lot of people at this were from great colleges and have affection for them, what if they all started shouting.

And for the record, Billy is from St Louis, was recruited from Texas, and is not a native of Oklahoma.

Ask any school teacher, there a always a loud kid in class, who wants attention. Billy had his fame, act like everyone else there did, and let this winner have his moment!

Five Things to Consider Before Buying an HDTV {Switched}

Dec 17th 2008 1:24PM The one writer is correct, there are more important things in life to spend time or money on then a flat screen tv.

I am amazed these companies have the gall to charge these prices prices for essentially a thin boob tube box with computer chips.

A TV selling for $1899 six months ago, now sold by stores at $1099, seems overpriced to begin with. A $1000 is still a lot.

Thanks to the male need for their "toys", Sony, Mitsubishi, and others, are profiting and laughing all the way to the bank.

National Lampoon executives charged with securities fraud {BloggingStocks}

Dec 16th 2008 6:42AM I am tired of people expecting the Federal Government to know everything, check everything, regulate everything, it is impossible.

The REAL blame lies on ALL the greedy people we have who don't give a darn about leading honest and moral lives!

Galley Gossip: Groped on the airplane, what to do? {Gadling}

Nov 4th 2008 4:58PM This happens more on International Flights in certain parts of the world, where the man is king, that is their culture, and the F/A's will not make waves.

However, in the USA also, just read some of the business flyer blogs, quite a few of the US Carriers F/A's attitude is indifferent towards a lot of passenger problems.

What can you do. Arrest the man in mid air. If all seats are full. Have the Captain come back and talk to him. Ask some one else to switch seats.

I have had all that done, and it is very humiliating. After all everyone around you is now listening, and most male passengers feel sorry for THE guy.

It is a lot like on the ground, to prove sexual harrassment in the workplace or or a restaurant, you almost have to be a nun.

There is no way to whisper in coach section to an F/A. Many times they act irritated, "like what do you expect me to do". The flight is full and we are at 38,000 feet.

Once when I was groped continously on a night flight from LAX to IAD, because the guy had a blanket kind of streched across my seat, not hard in coach,

I finally rang for the F/A, and asked to be moved to anywhere. The passengers were all asleep.

He pretended to be asleep, so she says to me, he's asleep.
Coach is full and I am not allowed to put you in First.

After she walked to the rear of the plane, he kept it up,so I got up, walked to the rear galley. as I got there, she was talking to the other F/A, saying, that blonde in 23A is telling a story so she can get moved up to First.

I know you all have had pay cuts, lay offs, mergers, loss of seniority, and a lot of the cabin crews just plain don't care, they do the job by the book, and that is it.

The airlines know this has happened for years to female passengers and I don't think they have any cohesive plan A or plan B

A passenger gets in trouble trying to smoke in the lav, or getting in a rage drunk, but groping you, is the FBI is ever waiting at the gate! No! I rest my case.

Galley Gossip: Groped on the airplane, what to do? {Gadling}

Nov 3rd 2008 8:33PM

My job entails travel, so when flying on some long flights overnight, blonde hair and blue eyes, in certain parts of the world, groping happened quite a bit.

I don't think young female flyers get much respect from either the male flyers or the cabin crew when that happens. I get no help from the F/A's.

I purposely started dressing like a slob,and when the guys in the next seat ask the usual, whats your name, where you from, what do you do. (I ignore #3)

I will then ask them the same questions, so I get some info, and then I say, by the way, I am an IRS Field Auditor. They don't talk or touch the rest of the flight.

Women have had to put up with this for years. I don't know why people do this on airplanes.

China: Flight delays result in rampage at airport {Gadling}

Jul 29th 2008 2:58PM I used to work proudly for a major airline. My Father was a Captain for over 30 years. My younger sister also worked for them.

Most often I would believe an airlines comments on problems that would take place with passengers.

How ever, in the last few years, airline service and spin has gone to the bottom.

What in the heck has happened to most airlines. The word service and pride have gone down the tubes.

I would believe a passenger any day now over the lies one gets from most major airlines.

While I do share a kindred spirit with airline personnel, they KNOW their airline is NOT handling anything morally right, from the CEO to the bottom

And China airlines, are terrible. If there is any airline that can make the majors in the USA still look better, it is any airline in China or Russia, BUT that is still not saying much.

Hot Seat: Should Huckabee Withdraw? {Politics Daily}

Feb 11th 2008 1:27PM As a woman, I would vote for Obama or Hillary if McCain wins the election. He is too much like Bush already.

I like Mike. He is who he is, and does not try to be anybody else. Regarding the religion issue., why do we criticize Christians. Would we rather Huck be a drug snorting wife cheater.

I want better qualities in my President then in myself. I don't go to church every week, I don't always obey the 10 Commandments, but I would rather have someone who lived that life more, then some of the past Presidents.

And I don't count the current President as good Christian, so don't hold him as any example. He is what he always has been a spoiled frat boy who is not very smart.

MSNBC 'Imus'es Schuster For Chelsea Gaffe {Politics Daily}

Feb 10th 2008 11:12PM I don't think the man should be suspended. But I am sick of the gutter words that are used freely now by what I "consider decent media people"

I don't watch Geraldo, I don't watch Jerry Springer, I don't watch Bill Reilly, or listen to Imus, so I would like to think in viewing "normal media" with my family, that they could use any number of other words to apply the same meaning.

I would ground my children for using that word, and it is insulting to Ms. Clinton. I may not like the family, but it enough of the smirchy language.

Hot Seat: Hurting the Clinton Campaign? {Politics Daily}

Jan 15th 2008 10:59AM I don't want another four to eight years of Bill Clinton Back. A charismatic man, who disgraced the office of the President by his failure to keep his pants zipped.

Hillary Clinton would be a lawyer still, not a Senator from New York, why does that state keep allowing interlopers like her to run for office, and certainly not running for office.

I am definitely a pro female lady, but I am disgusted with Hillary. I would have respected her if she had given Bill the boot and lived her life independently.
That is really what she is doing anyway.

But I do not respect her, admire her, or even like her, and just because I am a radical female, does not mean she gets my vote. In this race, I am voting for a male candidate, that has better qualifications.

So I urge my fellow females, do NOT get caught in the mantra of voting for Hillary, just because she is a woman. We need a better female running the country then her.
