May 4th 2012 7:56AM Best flight I ever had was a Northwest flight full of military people returning home from England. Every attendant appeared to be well over 55 (most looked like retirees in a second career) and they were great. They had a lot more patience, especially with young children, than the young attendants I've had.

Dec 16th 2011 5:58PM Perhaps, they should have thought about moving if they were not given permission for this, rather than have to pay $50/day now. It sounds like a long term plan for their child's care. They knew before they built it, it was not allowed, and what the consequences would be. Whether you agree/disagree with the HOA, rules are rules and they knew them before they moved in.

Dec 4th 2011 6:27PM I agree 100%. I laugh when F/A's say they save lives. How many in their career compared to what a nurse does in a week? lol....Also, there are usually medical personnel as passengers who, actually, step up and do the life saving! Putting an oxygen mask over someone's face doesn't count! Let's face it, if that plane is crashing, people are on their own. There's only so much ANYONE can do in that case and nobody is saving anybody. It's the luck of the draw at that point

Dec 4th 2011 6:17PM They can pay so poorly because there are girls lined up for the job. They think it's glamorous until they get there! Then they find out it's not much different than any other job. After a while, it becomes routine just like most jobs out there. Hotels get old after a while. Now, foreign flight attendants have it better. At least they get to really travel the world, and stay in NICE hotels. Pay is still crappy, but the perks are a lot better! After a while, those long haul flights would get old, too.
