Disney's first African-American princess -- back to the drawing board {ParentDish}
Jul 23rd 2008 6:51AM Hmmmm... "The princess was to be a chambermaid who worked for a spoiled white woman. The story was scrapped due to complaints that it was too stereotypical."???
Uhh have we all SEEN Cinderella??? If I have any complaint it's that Disney needs to make a few more movies about strong girls... NOT the same old girl falls in love with prince charming, he rescues her and they ride, float, dance, etc. off into the sunset!
Parents sacrifice everything for dying daughter {ParentDish}
Jul 18th 2008 8:47PM I think maybe the parents are thinking of themselves as well, they will have wonderful memories full of smiles and laughter plus, Like I said earlier: I know that I would not be able to concentrate on anything other than my child for the time it has left. The people that say they wouldn't do that, it makes me wonder if they have children.
What is wrong with a dying child tihnking the world revolves around them? Besides: "Going to the great beyond" with them thinking that... who cares. From my understanding you want for nothing in heaven so what's the difference?

Jul 18th 2008 8:37PM I also agree with the comments about vacation advertisments. It's so wrong I can't find the words to express it!
Parents sacrifice everything for dying daughter {ParentDish}
Jul 18th 2008 8:35PM As the parent of an only child I have to say... I would probably do the same thing! I know that I would not be able to work or concentrate on the "normal world".
I gave up a career to be a stay at home Mom with my son.. there will always be jobs waiting when he goes to school.
I think it's great to show such love.
The new milk jug makes its debut {ParentDish}
Jul 1st 2008 4:43PM They are no different to pour than any other jug of milk. They are recyclable and just an FYI.. glass does not mean better when it comes to recycling. There is a lot of glass that can't simply be melted down and made into other things. Think: tempered glass: car windows, house windows, green house glass, etc... they have coatings on them which would deteriorate the quality of the glass. Do you realize that when you sit your little blue or green or orange bin out for the recycling man that more often than not it just goes to a different area of the landfill? So you have a big pile of this or that... It's not like all of it's being reused!
ESPN's Bonnie Bernstein Says Palestinian Kids Want to Be Suicide Bombers, Apologizes {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}
Jun 28th 2008 8:19AM JFCJR.. yeah that whole getting 70 virgins in heaven thing has always confused me. I mean let's be honest... are there really that many adult virgins in heaven? Do they just "sprout" up in Muslim heaven? Are they stepford virgins?
If these terrorist suicide bombers are such great, spiritual people... why do they dream of having 70 virgins to themselves? Wouldn't that make them have unholy thoughts thereby tainting themselves?
Luv Coach Q&A: Love and Honesty {Blackvoices Main}

Foolish: getting divorced to get back together? A little like closing the barn door after the horse is out isn't it? Let me guess.. he told you that? Or did somehow he convince you to agree to it?
Either way: he says he still loves you because he loves the fact that he still has you hanging on. If things don't work out with A,B & C there's always you to fall back on- literally! Probably he takes some perverse pleasure in keeping you out there, in love with him while he justifies his may gf's with your one mistake. He's a jerk! Get over him and move on!
Luv Coach Q&A: Love and Honesty {Blackvoices Main}
Jun 13th 2008 10:18AM Been there...emails from a girl 200+ miles away from home, where my hub was for business 3-6 days a week. Found one where she was asking him to bring toys for her kid so I got in the car and drove some up there! Got up there at 3am and walked into his hotel room, handed him the bag and said: I didn't know if you brought enough! In one she told him "I wish you and I had met along time ago because I don't think we'd be married to the people we are married to". I told her if he'd met her before he met me, he'd be in jail because she was 11 when he and I started dating. Needless to say: It ended!
Now on the other side of the coin: I have a male friend that I met when I was 8. We text eachother almost every day, but we don't hang out. My hub doesn't know him but knows of him. He's a friend.
My hub has several female employees (Who rent a house from him.. & his office is in that house) AND a "like a little sister" (who used to work for him but no longer does) which his REAL little sister doesn't like very much. He see's and talks to them every day.
But he has a problem with my friend who I haven't see in years?
My point: There are always 2 sides. Am I wrong for fighting to keep my friend when he has so many? Is he wrong for hiring girls? It all boils down to trust.
Maria Sharapova Is Right, WTA Is Wrong: Tennis Is More Important Than Photo Shoots {Fanhouse Backporch}
May 8th 2008 9:03AM If you'd read the article... the problem is not with the photo shoot... it's with the timing of it.
Getting psyched up for a tournament is a big deal and for them to expect the players to focus on a photo shoot is just silly. Shoot it after.
