OK, in Latvia, do not speak Russian {Gadling}
Mar 4th 2009 8:40PM To the author: if you speak russian well you probably know some things about russian culture (or it's lack) as well. Russians are probably the biggest nationalists in the world, they always make joke about other nations, feel superior to the whole world and say the world should learn their language. Wherever they go - they expect to be understood in russian.
Forget russian when you go to Baltics - it's not welcomed there, anything but russian, they suffered enough from them.
New bags let you keep your laptop stowed for x-ray {Gadling}
Jul 3rd 2008 6:59AM My backpack also have a side section for the laptop, so it is easy for me, but still almost all the time they require to open it, take all the stuff out and screen it again, because beside laptop i've got another section for my digital slr, various lenses, external hard drives, cables, plugs, chargers, ipod, travel adapotor, etc, etc...
I sometimes i wish i have just a small blackberry and a small compact digital camera.
When to use and avoid Orbitz, Travelocity and Expedia {Gadling}
Jul 3rd 2008 6:51AM Marla, yes a travel agency will find the best price plus an extra 10, sometimes 5 per ticket. I can do this myself, but not everyone.
I suppose in the very near future almost everyone will fly on e-tickets, and will do the bookiing online. Orbitz and travelocity are too expensive usualy, expedia seemed to change the policy offering sometimes better prices. I use kayak.com, sidestep.com, smartertravel.com etc, have to check my links or book through airlines directly, if using just one airline.

Nov 8th 2007 2:01AM Yes, it is China, no doubt about it!
I could tell you that just by having a glance look. But I'm pretty sure I haven't seen this building before :) So, it's somewhere I haven't been yet!
I doubt it's a large city, rather some unknown provincial town. And, yes, as Sean mentioned - judging by the building on the left, it can be North-east area, but you never know...
I can only guess, let's say: ANSHAN
