Gun-friendly national parks possibly coming soon {Gadling}
Jun 4th 2008 3:25AM Huh? Most of the people I've spoken with who've gone on treks into the Absarokas in Montana/Wyoming have a pistol on them, I did when I went. There are tons of bears in there, and every other year you hear of an attack. You could argue for the bear spray, but once used it actually attracts other bears -- you basically smell spicy to them.
I doubt I'd carry anything into, say, Yosemite, but damn straight I'll have something in bear country.
Question Jamie -- have you actually been camping in wilderness areas with bears around? I'm just surprised that you're surprised about guns being in National Parks.

EasyJet busted for misleading advertising {Gadling}
Mar 11th 2008 6:25PM Do you get equally mad at the dollar-stores for not including tax in their prices?
I'd also side with EasyJet in this instance. Return fares are discounted compared to single flights. And I would laugh at anyone who tries to make a claim that a redeye is comparable to a morning flight.
I honestly suspect her flight was not comparable.

Nov 7th 2007 2:26PM Well, the polluted sky, vehicles, and signs say it's in China. The architecture of the left-side building means it's somewhere north. It's a big city, and fairly developed, but I know it's not Harbin. I'll say Shenyang?
