School Officials Often React Poorly to Student Suicides, Experts Say {ParentDish}
Mar 10th 2011 10:52AM Teens commit suicide because our culture has reduced them from young adults with responsibilities to overgrown children who are forced to sit idle until they're finished with indoctrinat... school. Let teens take on adults responsibilities at an earlier age than 18 and the suicides will be greatly reduced.
Enough With the Breast-feeding Wars! {ParentDish}
Feb 23rd 2011 10:19PM Whether to breast or bottle feed is a very personal choice for every mother and shouldn't be a matter for government or the media.
What Next? Jail Time for Non-Organic Soccer Snacks? {ParentDish}
Jan 25th 2011 6:19PM I can see both sides of it. I work with school kids and have seen many negligent, entitlement-minded and douche bag parents as well as many caring parents. The sad fact is, no matter what the schools do, it won't really change the parents' behavior. They may go through the motions, but their hearts will be as they always were.

Aug 18th 2010 11:01PM A four-year-old? No way in Hell! A ten-year-old? If I thought they could be trusted to stay in their seat and not play behind the wheel.
Let Adults Hang Out at the Playground (Even if They Don't Have Kids) {ParentDish}
Aug 10th 2010 3:26PM As a citizen whose taxes pay for the upkeep of the park and playground, the single person damn well has the right to go there and enjoy it. I would very quickly challenge this law on constitutional grounds.
And if some snotty parent gave me crap about being at a park without a kid, I'd say, "Where's the sign that makes this park your exclusive domain?"
What's So Dirty About Kiddie Pictures? {ParentDish}
Aug 5th 2010 10:01AM If I'm out in public, people have the right to photograph and record me, even without my consent. Parents have absolutely no business telling people that they can't photograph kids out in public.
As for the photog at the mall, he is technically on private property, so could be arrested for photographing if, and only if, a mall security guard told him to stop.
