Palm Pre stock levels for launch day at Best Buy leaked? {Engadget}

Jun 2nd 2009 3:42PM I thought the Harlem\Irving Park store wasn't that bad.

Technically, the "downtown store: in the Hancock would be considered to be the Mag Mile. I would why only 2??? And 8 at the store on 87th?? Why not more at the south Loop (12th St.)

How would you change HP's MediaSmart Server ex485 / ex487? {Engadget}

· Active Directory - You may not use the server software as a domain controller or otherwise make use of DCPromo.exe. You also may not join the server software to any Active Directory domain.

AGREED:

I attempted to join my HP MS to my SBS and, well, it was ugly for a while. I now have access to the data, though I am no using the Connector software (didn't want to use it anyway...)

Netgear rolls out 4-bay ReadyNAS NVX {Engadget}

Apr 6th 2009 4:50PM ReadyNAS have been overpriced ever since Netgear brought Infrant a couple of years ago. You could pick up a driveless device for under 450 (I bought mine from Buy.com for 429 plus free shipping).

As soon as Netgear bought Infrant, you could no longer purchase drivesless boxes, and if you did, they were 600-700+.

I wold love to have another but at those prices, I'm better off building my own with WHS.

Microsoft launches entry-level Foundation Server 2008 {Engadget}

Apr 1st 2009 10:18PM Agreed. SBS is becoming Windows Server and leaving small businesses in the dust. I was looking forward to SBS 2008 until I saw the prices. My SBS 2003 is doing fine just as it is.

What should replace banks? {BloggingStocks}

Jan 18th 2009 7:25PM When I worked for Manpower, They had a direct deposit system, where you were issued 24-Hour Access/Debit Card. Sounds as if you are looking to create a network system that allows for direct deposits and may bill payments. Hmmm, maybe something PayPal could get into?!? My check would be deposited into my PayPal acct, which has a Visa debit card. Wow, no more bank!!!
