Elizabeth Edwards as Nick Carraway {Politics Daily}
May 8th 2009 10:44AM I'm sure Elizabeth has been heartbroken by this situation. But divorcing John Edwards at this stage would not be wise. The woman has terminal cancer. She has no idea how much time is left. She has two young children with him. Her death will rock their world...divorcing their dad and splitting the home would just further complicate their lives. People need to stop bashing her for being unrealistic and staying in the marriage. She's obviously doing the best she can for her family's sake. Say a prayer for her. She seems like a truly nice person who has been dealt some really terrible circumstances over the years.
Condoleezza Rice Vs. 4th Grader {Politics Daily}
May 4th 2009 1:45PM Oh puleez! Misha's mom or dad told her to ask that question. And I'm sure they were hoping she'd get her name in the paper for it, too.
Got more than one carry-on? That'll be 40 bucks, or you don't fly {WalletPop}
Feb 2nd 2009 4:16PM I think this is FANTASTIC...the boarding and de-planing process today is ridiculously slow because of people bringing too many items on the plane and taking forever to try to find a place to stow it. Then holding everything up as they go against traffic, back to the front of the plane to hand the bag to a flight attendant who has to get a baggage handler to stow it beneath. Time is money and the airline should charge for this inconvenience to everyone else. I can't wait til they start charging the morbidly obese for the extra weight dragging the fuel economy down. Air travel got so cheap it became like riding a bus...with the types of passengers and behavior normally seen on public transportation. Maybe these little charges will put the riff-raff back on Greyhound and Amtrak where they belong.
Knicks' Eddy Curry Is Being Sued for Sexual Harassment by ... Another Man {Fanhouse NBA Blog}
Jan 13th 2009 10:42AM I don't believe it for any of it for one second. There's no way ANYONE would continue working if the conditions were the way Kuchinsky describes them. In fact, I'm guessing a normal person would call the police if anyone had pointed a loaded gun at them. This guy needs to be sent back to jail for attempting to shake down Eddie in an attempt to make a quick buck.
Melissa Berry, Lingerie Football Player, Sues Ex-Boyfriend Over Nude Pictures {Fanhouse Backporch}
Dec 30th 2008 11:48AM Look...the guy clearly made some bad decisions. But let's face it...24 years old, playing football in her lingerie and having sex with a man old enough to be her father -- Melissa's kind of a skank, don't ya think??? Sounds like these two deserve each other.
Texas' Buck Burnette Learns Why Racist Obama Facebook Updates Are Dumb {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}
Nov 6th 2008 11:32PM He's lucky the Secret Service didn't pick him up for questioning or charge him. Saying it's time for hunters to gather up, even as a joke, could be seen as making a threat against the President-elect. And free speech has nothing to do with it.
McCain Adviser: Palin Ready? 'Of Course Not' {Politics Daily}
Oct 31st 2008 9:35PM Teddy Roosevelt had a much more substantive biography before his 2 year governor spot than Sarah Palin...Whoever made that comparison is an idiot.
Tim McGraw the Next Todd Palin? {The Boot}
Oct 25th 2008 11:24AM I wish more of the "Right-wing" would threaten to move to Canada if Obama is elected. This country would be a much happier place where people of all colors and beliefs can live in harmony. It's a thin line between Christian Right and The Taliban.
Obama Explains 'Spread the Wealth' Comment {Politics Daily}
Oct 23rd 2008 4:47PM Social Security is Socialism. Medicare is Socialism. McCain's genius plan to buy up all the mortgages and then renegotiate them is Socialism. GOPers are the same old b@stards who hide their retirement savings in trust schemes so that they can get government subsidised senior housing and nursing. If you're so against Socialism, why don't we just cut all of those things out??
Suze Orman's got milk and other sponsorships in her pocket thanks to the financial crisis {WalletPop}
Oct 20th 2008 10:07AM I've seen Suze countless times on many programs, including her own. I've never heard her say anything that I would equate with "doom". She's a reasonable voice who gives people responsible, practical, common-sense advice when it comes to spending. And sadly, I think we can all agree that common-sense isn't always so common! If more people listened to Suze's approach to spending within their means and avoiding huge debt for frivolous purchases, we might be in less of a credit crisis today.
