Apr 29th 2010 11:21AM JB I AM accurate. Bush's congress (Bush himself has not power to do this, only congress) did not reverse this but they did not "create" it.
Even if they had tried to reverse it, the Democrts would be crying "your dicriminating agaist the poor". You cannot win when you state the truth and you're riduculed in the press day after day for what is the right thing to do, but the party and persons (Dodd and Frank) should be held responsible for "creating" this mess.

Apr 29th 2010 10:24AM We need to put the blame where it deserves to be, on the Democratic leaders Barnie Frank and Christopher Dodd and ACORN. Under Clinton in the 90's Acorn went to these large lending institutes and put pressure on them to start lending to people who could not affort to live in these houses. The "terrible" bankers told ACORN that they could NOT do this because underwriting rules made it clear who could be allowed to buy a house. So, ACORN went to Frank and Dodd and demanded they do something. They did. What they did was go to these "terrible" bankers and told them lend to these people or the full force of the government would come down on them. These "terrible" bankers said we CANNOT do this because the losses from these people would put their banks out of business without some backing from the US government. So Frank and Dodd put together legislation that said the US goverment would "back" these ill written loans. So, the bankers agreed (under pressure from Frank and Dodd) to oblige them and start writing these bad loans. So when the economy started to go down (as it does every so often) all of these bad loans" started snowballing and lo and behold Uncle Sam could not back them all up. So what do the Democrats do knowing full well they put all of this in place...they blame the "greedy" bankers for the collapse and bring them before congress to ask "why were you so greedy taking loans you knew were bad?" This whole collapse is due to Democrats trying to make everything "equal". But our constitution does not guarntee equal "results" as the Democrats try to force to happen with their ill fated legislation, it only guarntees equal "OPPORTUNITIES".

Apr 26th 2010 8:37AM Kris, "spanking" is not the reason there is "so much violence" in this country. I am sick of those who have ruined the disipline in this country with your confusion between spanking and beating. This is the reason teachers have so many problems in schools (especially in elementary grades). Going to the pricipal's office when I went to school with the possibility of getting a swat on the rear was a very good incentive for behaving in class. If you are in doubt of this read your bible Proverbs 13:24 (He who spares his rod, hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines and punishes him early.)

Dec 4th 2009 8:42AM Give me a break! The press have been out of control in this country for a long long long time. Sure we have "freedom of the press" but that does not excuse these celeb chasing nuts that are out to make a buck. If they (the press) think they can make a dollar they will climb private fences, scale private walls, invade private conversations, or just about anything else. It is a shame how our press have gone to hell in a handbasket over the years. If there isn't a story, they have even stooped so low as to make the story up to make a buck (look at the tabloids). The press will say yes but "it" sells. Not my money....that's the same reason papers in this country are going broke, people are sick and tired of the baloney stories they are trying to sell. Get back to "REPORTING THE NEWS" and get your reputations back. People will then start reading your papers.

Most just want you to be ready to go one the first day and are not willing to take the time to develope good people into their industries.

Oct 30th 2009 5:13PM Palin did NOT backfire, in fact Palin was the only hope for McCain. Look back at the polls when she was added. McCain's numbers went up after Pain was added because up until then the conservatives were staying at home; she gave him the conservative vote which helped him. Without Palin McCain would have lost almost every state. The conservatives are now rejuvinated and ready for 2010 and mark my word Obama will loose seats in both the House and Senate. Why do you think he is in such a rush to get things done before then. It's OBVIOUS!!!

Sep 14th 2009 7:19AM Give me a break, I have been drinking Pepsi all my life and it is a fine product. I will bet most of the people complaining are not Walmart "fans" anyway (you union people know who I am talking about). Just another "shot" at the best marketing store in our great country. The other big problem today, parents DON'T KNOW HOW TO SAY "NO". They want Walmart or big government to "help them" be the parent. Grow a pair and take responsibility for being the parent and just say NO. Don't blame Walmart or someone else for your inability to take control of the situation.
