Facebook simplifies home page layout, inevitable complaining begins {Download Squad}
Feb 5th 2010 1:43PM Yes, Anthony, but what I meant is that you can’t make it the default anymore. I have a “close friends” list, and in the previous version I could drag & drop that list *over* the news feed in the left bar, so that when I opened Facebook, by default I would see just that list.
Facebook simplifies home page layout, inevitable complaining begins {Download Squad}
Feb 5th 2010 12:25PM My only complaint is that I used to be able to drag a friend list over the news feed in the left-hand bar, so that my news feed consisted only of events from those friends. Now I can’t do that anymore, and I’m forced to see people I’m not really that interested about.
Yet another use for Dropbox: USB cable {TUAW.com}
Dec 11th 2009 7:09PM There is another issue: Dropbox compresses the crap out of the images before uploading. I've noticed that images uploaded through Dropbox are sometimes less than half the file size compared to the same images downloaded directly from the device.
According to one of the devs, the next version will let you choose how much compression to use, but in the meantime, keep it in mind that you're not getting the best quality out of your photos using this method.

Vizcaya is a great place for photography; the place is so beautiful and eclectic that no matter where you look, there's always something interesting to shoot. It's a shame they don't allow photography inside the actual villa, though.

Apple also releases iPhone OS for iPod touch 2.2 {TUAW.com}
Nov 21st 2008 2:21AM “Apple also released a firmware update for iPod touch, bringing it in line with version 2.2 updates for iPhone released a little while ago.”
Not quite: this update doesn’t include any of the “enhancements to Maps” that the iPhone update includes.
Hopefully it just means that they couldn’t finish them in time for the release. Remember that when the iPod touch was first launched you couldn’t add calendar events until a few updates later.
