Tribute Coins May Be Pretty -- But They Are a Pretty Bad Investment {WalletPop}

Jan 19th 2011 8:32AM “Two friends showed up to play one weekend in the middle of an argument. One said it was ridiculous anyone would pay for a bottle of water. The other responded that it was for the portability. He said, “Let me prove it. Hold out your hands. I’ll give you half of my water to save for later. I’ll keep mine in the bottle, you put yours in your pocket.” ~ Red Barker, "Professional Caddy and proud of it.” (Read more Red Barker on Facebook)

'Wizard of Oz' Prequel to Add Sex, Betrayal and More Evil Witches {Moviefone Blog}

Oct 17th 2010 10:14AM Hear me out on this. Not a prude here; I might actually watch a porn version of this, but this "R" concept is all wrong. For the mass/family audience, make a prequel that is similar in tone to the original, something 'classic' in nature that can stand by the great original film. That would be a big hit, in my opinion, and a real money-maker. I will pass on the movie described in this article.

Jon Stewart Jokes About Rick Sanchez Controversy {PopEater}

Oct 3rd 2010 10:42AM Stewart isn't egotistical, he's smart and irreverent with a low tolerance of ignorant BS. There is more truth and insight delivered in just one of his shows than a month of anything on Fox. If you perceive him as egotistical, it's probably just because he is smarter than you and you dislike the fact that he is skewering one of your sacred pigs.

I Became a Stepmom by 25 {Lemondrop}

Jun 2nd 2010 1:11PM Just after my daughter turned 19, the father (he is 47) of one of the other girls on my daughter's high school volleyball team decided to develop a relationship with my daughter (and with her willing consent). They feel that "God" has brought them together. He is a divorced father of four kids, Catholic; she is a born-again Christian. My wife and I have vehemently opposed this from the beginning, but it has continued. I find this man disgusting for his willingness to disregard the proper behavior followed by most decent men. It is impossible to prove or disprove what is in this man's heart, but I have told my daughter and him that I'll let God -- if there is one -- deal with issues of Faith and Judgement, I'm going to deal with the earthly facts of what has happened. Funny (really sad) how many times the age 19 for the young ladies shows up in stories like this and the comments above. Hey, if you are a real man, find someone your own age! Or, is that too challenging for you guys? I find it very unfortunate that 19-year-olds have the legal rights to make decisions they are ill-prepared to make, knowing little of the true and long-term consequences.

The Prepper Movement -- a Growing Network Preparing for the World's End {Asylum}

May 21st 2010 9:14AM It makes sense to prepare for a natural disaster, as one of the posters was describing, especially if you live in a prone area. I just think all this talk about the end of the world is absurd. It ain't coming, folks, regardless of what the Mayans predicted or Nostrodamus (sp?) or the Bible. Go ahead and plan your vacation for 2013 and you can sit on the beach and laugh about all those "preppers" who were so darn sure the end was near. These are people easily manipulated because of their fears, and their fears are largelly based on their inability to differentiate between fact and fiction, possibility vs. probability.

Is This 'Single Ladies' Video Too Hot for Tots? {ParentDish}

May 13th 2010 3:31PM About as appropriate at having your 1st grade son do his rendition of an Andrew Dice Clay routine. You want him talking about "b*tches" and "wh*res" and "slapping a**?" These girls should find more appropriate material to dance to than this particular song. You know, it's not a bad song, but it's not the only one out there with a good dance beat.

Taylor Swift Still Struggles With Self-Esteem {The Boot}

Jan 9th 2010 7:46PM Hey Holly: I think the law states that you have to protect your copyright in all places or else you run the risk of losing it. So, while it may not seem to matter that some small club is playing Taylor's song without authorization, it really does according to the law. Don't make it out like it is a character flaw of Taylor's.

Brit Hume: Jesus Can Tame You, Tiger {Politics Daily}

Jan 4th 2010 3:24PM Christianity isn't the point. Tiger needs to live his life ethically and morally. Whether those ethics and morals come from Christianity, some other religion or no religion at all doesn't matter. Good is good and right is right, whatever brand of faith (or lack thereof) you ascribe to. Bad is bad by all measures, too, and you don't have to be a Christian to realize that cheating on your wife with 14 other women is wrong-a-mundo!
