Americans still don't like dollar coins {Gadling}
Jul 1st 2011 12:30PM It just seems that when you shift from a bill to a coin the value (mentally) is less. Will we become comfortable more quickly with inflation and basic goods costing more since they now "just cost a couple of coins?"

Mar 15th 2011 3:20PM I am most excited for the new show simply because it is a cooking show on a new network. Most cooking shows are currently confined to the boredom of PBS or Food Network which likes certain formats. Having the show on Syfy will hopefully give it a great deal of freedom to experiment with how a cooking show can be done.

Feb 9th 2011 12:43PM The temp in St. Louis around Christmas was pretty rough. Well below freezing in the day and in the teens at night. The most brutal cold we felt there was the year before when we were having our engagement pictures made. The temp was 7 in the day. With wind you can't take a full breath. Crazy.

Nov 15th 2010 3:57PM It did not snow much where I grew up, but one winter we got a huge snowfall. I had been reading Calvin and Hobbes comics for years, so all of Calvin's snow adventures were lived out in those few days. Crazy snowmen and writing "Do a barrel roll" (for airplanes) huge in the snow are what I remember the most. Also, I did not have snow boots, so my mom put ziploc bags on my feet with rubber bands. :)

Nov 12th 2010 3:12PM True. I am not sure that Conan has the improv skills to make a sketch comedy show work. Maybe his taped segments would work better as a weekly variety show with Conan introducing the segments. Like Dave Chappelle. He sees himself as a late night guy too much to go that route though.

Oct 27th 2010 10:43AM My wife and I watch Dancing with the stars every week, and we catch it with friends whenever we get the chance. All of our college friends were part of a swing dance group, so we love getting together, figuring out what worked or did not work in the performances, and trying to pick who will go home each week. Awesome show! Fun for everyone!
