Apr 26th 2010 4:05AM Marcie, do you drive or ride in a car? More people are treated in hospitals relating to Automobile accients than to Cigarettes. More Children are killed or maimed from auto accidents than from second hand smoke. I live in a rural area; but I can't sit outside on my porch, because the noise and exhaust from the cars that go past my home,keep me from enjoying the sun. But to each his/her own. Smoking is a bad habit, but so is the habit of laziness which one can easily get from using an automobile. But I am NOT saying we should ban automobiles; even if I don't own one. Just becsause I don't like cars doesn't mean that others should get rid of theirs. What has happened toWe the People that we have fallen so far down the path of maturing that we need so many mothers and fathers telling us what to do?

Feb 11th 2010 4:47AM I was raised on the real Jersey Shore. Asbury Park, There was more excitement in the winter than in the summer. More things going on. Frost fishing, etc. No tourists to crowd you out.

Jan 21st 2010 10:59AM I bet the ACLU would be the first one's in line if hospitals banned those who drive cars. More children are killed, or maimed in auto accidents than through second hand smoke. But the unions would be up in arms if they banned anyone who drove a car.

Think this is a great idea. Would have saved me many problems when the telephones in our area went down for almost 24 hours. I went on-line to a site i play bridge at, that is open 24/7, just in case there was an emergency in my home (husband had just come home from hospital with a stroke) so that I could ask someone at the site to call 911.
