Aug 20th 2011 8:20PM Duke, likely biased and obviously uninformed you are my friend. MLK was not only about the freedom, justice, and equality for African Americans but for the Peace and Unity of all nationalities black and white. Today there are MANY who are still confused and misunderstood about who MLK was and what he really stood for.
Nov 5th 2007 5:20PM I hear people white, black , hispanic make racial remarks at work all the time so should all retire? Please.
Oct 21st 2007 7:25PM We wont see a brighter future unless we learn from our past.
Oct 15th 2007 2:59PM In my opinion this time the noose did not need to be told to America or protested against. It only allows the idiots behind the noose to get more pleasure watching the national news and protesters on campus. They are watching it all and saying : Yeah I did it... Im responsible... AND? as they laugh. They love it! Dont give haters so much attention. There is a time to stand up and demand justice and then there are times to go, what an idiot ..... NEXT.
Oct 8th 2007 3:29PM Take many Christians for example: soooo many can quote half the bible and tell YOU where your wrong. They SAY they represent God but on a daily basis forget the greatest most foundational principles of Christ like love your neighbor as yourself, forgive, put others first. Sadly many people speak for MLK that dont even understand what he really stood for.Ladies and gentlemen if you read MLK "The Strength to Love", his teachings and speeches you will clearly see what he stood for and beleived. The truth is MLK fought for the freedom and harmony of every race. Peace.
Oct 3rd 2007 8:52PM Chinese, Japanese, Rednese, White knees, Dirty knees look at ALL of these!! Does it really matter the color of the sculptor? MLK would say it does not. IF you know ANYTHING about MLK, his teaching, and what he stood for then you would agree that thats ridiculous to think the sculptor must be black, PLEASE. GET MLK BOOKS AND SPEECHES , MY FAVORITE IS "THE STRENGTH TO LOVE." No one race is better than another, contrary to popular belief. We SHOULD view every race as Gods children and not as a white or a black person.
