Gratuity Proves Tipping Point for Notre Dame Employee {Fanhouse Backporch}
Sep 16th 2009 5:35PM Wrong. Say a bank took your $100.00 deposit and added an extra zero making it $1000.00. Is that extra $900.00 yours? No. And when they find the error, they'll deduct it from your account. Spent the money? They'll freeze your account until they are paid back and/or sue you in court. How do I know this to be true? Because it happened to me. Fortunately, I told someone who actually listened and fixed the error before any damage to me was done, as this woman should have. P.S. Turns out I was one among many and a v.p. of the bank was sent to jail for bank fraud.

Chad Ochocinco Fined $5,000 for Orange Chin Strap {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Aug 30th 2009 1:33PM You think the players run the NFL? What have you been drinking or snorting as the case may be. Get real. The NFL is run first and foremost by the networks and it's been that way for decades. Don't believe it? Then why do sponcers pay mega-bucks for 15 seconds during the "Stupid Bore?" Most of the money goes into the pockets of the broadcasters, the NFL executives, and the team owners, but enough filters down to pay these overgrown cry-babies mega-bucks too. It's all TV, my friend. It's of, by, and for TV.

Aug 30th 2009 1:17PM I hate to burst xclibur's bubble, but as someone born in the 50's I can say without contradiction that the NFL was just as money hungry and corrupt back then as it is today. Why? Primarily TV revenue. The networks pay big to broadcast NFL games and they get royalties every time so much as a clip from their games gets shown on the news. (Bet you didn't know that one, but look carefully at the end of a broadcast. You'll see a quick blurb stating that the game is owned and licensed by the NFL and may only be rebroadcast with their permission. KA-CHING$$$) Televison revenue has resulted in rule changes to almost every pro team sport except tennis and golf who have steadfastly refused to change their rules. So if you want to change the situation, boycott the NFL and let the sponcers of the games know you won't be buying their products as long as they continue buy premium time on NFL games.

Aug 30th 2009 12:57PM If more people took this attitude, all pro sports would clean up their act in an instant.

Aug 30th 2009 12:48PM Want to bring all of this NFL nonsense to a complete halt? How you say? (Get ready for it...)
Don't buy tickets to NFL games, don't buy their overpriced team labeled junk, don't watch the NFL on TV, and the best one, let the sponcers know that you are boycotting the NFL until such time as it grows some balls and actually begins to reign in and actually fire some of these jerks.
