Aug 30th 2007 7:26PM In Venezuela, anyone ever take the ride from Maracay to Choroni?
Hairpin turns winding around a mountain, one lane, blind turns, party buses barreling down and on top of the mountain, lots of fog.
There are numerous breaks in the brush on the side of the road that meets the edge of teh mountain...where drivers met their fate.
Choroni is worth the risk tho.
Montreal for the Aquatically Inclined {Gadling}
Apr 21st 2006 4:16PM speaking of Montreal for the Aquatically inclined. I did a trip to Montreal last summer with my girlfriend. We felt that being in a city for avacation during the summer would ne a waste of the nice weather (even if MTL city is great) so we headed about an hour North to The River Rouge for some rafting. We were absolutely amazed and pleasantly surprised how beautiful the river was, how much fun the trip was and how great the guides were. The guides were having as much fun as we were. We spend hours "trashing" in the whitewater. the scenes on the river were unbelieveable. It made the whole trip up to MTL. I never repeat trips, but I would do this again! (New World Rafting was the rafting rafting co btw)
