Makeover Diaries: A Beach Babe Turned Soccer Mom {Stylelist (Main)}
Dec 6th 2010 3:00PM Wow. So sad. Nowhere in here do I get the feeling that she is changing because who she was had changed, rather because others around her didn't like her look. If you're cutting your hair and stopping wearing boob shirts because you're 40 and that's not who you are anymore, more power to you - we all change and thank goodness we can change our clothes too. But to change because the women around you look at you meanly (either because they think you're inappropriate or because they're jealous or worried about their husbands) is sad. You have to be who you are and be proud of it.
AOL Mystery Flyer: Spirit Airlines Report Card {AOL Travel News}
May 2nd 2010 9:13PM OK, all this frou frou aside, what about the time last year I got $9 tickets for my whole family to fly to florida? With fees and all, three of us flew to Ft. Lauderdale for $150 round trip? Or to Tampa for about the same? From Atlantic City? Sorry, i do not care if the flight attendants don't know how I am supposed to change my return ticket, or they try to charge me for a bag. Spirit Air is designed to let people fly for cheap, period. Don't mess with them!
Opinion: Adoptive Mother Should Be Sent to the Gulag {ParentDish}
Apr 12th 2010 2:59PM This woman sounds dangerous to all children, much less a poor adoptive child with no one to turn to. Nothing she says makes sense. She adopted the child in September, and in January, when a social services representative visited the home, everything was fine. But by April, she's so scared of the child because of his supposed 'former' abuse, she abandons him? She never takes him to see a counselor or psychologist? She never contacts her adoption agency?
She is full of it. The child alleges that she abused him and I'd have to say, given the facts as reported, there is no other logical conclusion.

Why Are Parents Opting Out of Routine Vaccination? {News Bloggers}
Sep 30th 2007 11:23PM So unfair. The entire concept of innoculating the population against deadly disease is dependent upon the vast majority receiving vaccination. You choose to opt out, depending that the rest of us will vaccinate our children and you get the benefit. do you know how many children died of the flu in 1918? That the measles vaccination initiative in Africa is estimated to save more than 1 million lives in just five years? How many children will die if you don't have yours vaccinated? Maybe yours will survive, but the ones the he passes it along to might not.
But more importantly, if the incidence has truly been skyrocking as these celebrities insiste, then maybe they need to look at other causes that have been going up in the same timeframe. Polution? Global Warming? Vast chemical dumps throughout the state of California? TV viewing reaching epic proporations among under-2's? Chemicals in food? Preservatives?
It's so easy to blame it on vaccines. Perhaps because it's so easy. And there's hope that you can change it by simply not having your child vaccinated. But since there are no studies that would substantiate that conclusion, are you really accomplishing anything for your chid, or just making yourself feel better?
