What the Proposed Social Security Reform Might Mean for You {WalletPop}

Nov 13th 2010 2:39PM Stop the nonsense in Washington and all state governments. Eliminate the obnoxiously high pensions for these civil servants and let them live like the rest of us when they retire. Take away the plush offices, perks and medical benefits while you are at it. Congress and Senate along with all of their helpers should have a salary with no raises for their 2-4 year terms. If they get re-elected then a normal cost of living should be considered. Merit raises in light of the discusting perfromance of these people certainly should be avoided. Execute a cross the board government reduction in workers by 10% immediately with additional reductions every two years. Tax the amount of campaign funds provided by wealthy candidates. Put in $70 mil, it will cost you $7 million to play. Increase the homestead exemption amount provided each year. Stop providing for illegal immigrants, send them back and stop anymore from entering.

Hot Seat: MichelleDenver {Politics Daily}

Aug 26th 2008 4:25PM Hillary needs to step up and run anyway. She is the only real hope the Democrats have to pull this away from the BUsh look-a-likes! If they don't like it, then she should run independent.

Jim Brown Thinks Tiger Woods Is Too 'Politically Correct' {Fanhouse Golf Blog}

Jan 24th 2008 5:47PM I believe Tiger handled the situation in a professional manner that should be followed by Mr.Brown. Who gives him the right to chastise and expect people to listen to whathe says in the first place. It is none of his business. Tiger chose to address it in the manner that he saw fit and I applaud him. Bitterness for whatever the reason is no excuse for Mr. Brown to lecture Tiger or anyone on how to handle a situation of this nature. His attitude brings back into focus issues thathave finally begun to be eliminated. Let it rest Jimmy...

Vick's Prison Sentence May Be Shortened {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Jan 7th 2008 8:52AM If this happens it would be an irresposible ruling by our justice system. This guy is no better than the common criminal spending life in prison. Where is the justice? How can we allow his celebrity status to sway and change the rules? Any team that picks up this animal should suffer the consequences of putting a loser back on the field. I for one would never watch a single game that they would have him playing and the NFL would lose a tremendous amout of credibility with the viewers. Everyone saw his mother crying in the courtroom, not because of his sentencing but the reality that she wasa losing her golden goose who bought her the big house, fancy cars and clothes. This is absurd.

Rory Sabbatini: OK for Me to Drop F-Bombs, Not OK for You to Ask Me a Question {Fanhouse Golf Blog}

Aug 8th 2007 12:21PM A little cussing is a natural occurance on the golf course. It can be a very frustrating game, especially at the level of competition played by the PGA. Having said that, it should not be done withing the hearing of innocent spectators. Rory has pretty much penalized himself by his recent mannerisms. He doesn't need us to beat on him. Any sponsor that would enlist his support would be foolish just based on his mannerisms and the dislike he has managed to create by the fans. The loss of income will be a greater burden for him than any hurtful comments we can invoke on this forum.

George W. Bush caught wearing Crocs {Stylelist}

Jun 15th 2007 1:52PM I haven't agreed with a thing he says or has done, but I must agree here and disagree with the writer...Crocs Rock, if he would just remove the socks, we would totally agree for the first time in 7 years. And yes, I am and have always been a Republican.

American Idle: Is the Ride Over? {News Bloggers}

May 23rd 2007 12:39PM I have been a faithful viewer for the 6 seasons it has been on. I have always said that the best singer doesn't always win. Every year many of the best performers get the boot due to the ridiculous manner in which they allow multiple votes from the same person. Just like stuffing the ballot box, this is not a true test or the claim that 60 million viewers have voted. Idol obviously uses the skewed votes to raise ad rates and speaking of ads, either shorten the show and drop the massive number of commercials or add some real content to the longer shows and make it worth while if we are to be forced to watch the same ads over and over. I simply mute the commercials and swear I would never buy a Ford or drink a Coke.

Now back to the vote...Jordin is the winner and Blake will be better off coming in 2nd and will do just fine on his own and away from the Idol label. It is time to move Paula out and just rotate a celebrity guest singer in her place. Let's get some credibilty back in the show and let the real professional judges make the right decisions. Popularity votes should be reserved for King and Queen of the high school set not an International singing event.

Featherlite Luxury Coach {Luxist}

Jul 17th 2006 6:30PM If you have worked hard and can afford something like this, so be it. It is your money, you earned it, so spend it. It doesn't really matter what other people thing.

For those that think RV Parks are funky, don't visit them. For those of us who happen to think that they are nice and you never meet a stranger in one, good for you.

Even though the over the top decor is not my cup of tea, it is not for me to say it is wrong. We are on our second Rv and hopefully will be moving up to our third one which will be a Class A but not at this price. Our tastes are a little more realistic as we need to find one that fits our budget. I have been in a million and a half dollar RV and as nice as they appear, I would be just as comfortable in one that cost $150k.

I have stayed and worked in some of the nicest hotels in the world, and I would still take an RV any day.

Have iPod Will Travel {Gadling}

Apr 20th 2006 10:31AM While attending a conference recently, I used the attachable mic to record the entire session and then download to CD's for distribution to colleague's who did not get to attend. Sound quality was excellent.
