Big Ten May Revisit Division Names {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}

Dec 19th 2010 12:40PM Well, I'd given some thought to the subject of the Big 10 Conference names. My best idea was to choose the names of such appropriate values as Honor and Respect. I mentioned my idea to my wife, and she suggested Greed and Avarice. I don't think she was being serious, do you?

Southwest bans lemons from flights: Limes triumphant {Daily Finance}

Sep 20th 2009 10:09PM Easy solution. If you must have a lemon, buy one and bring it on board. Give it to the stewardess and share it with other lemon lovers.

Tori 'Grossed Out' By Mag 'Horse' Story {PopEater}

Woman demands refund for vacation spoiled by naked girls {Gadling}

Aug 2nd 2009 11:29PM She should ask for nothing back. Evn if she truly did not enjoy the action, her husband got at least double the value.

Stacey Dales Quit ESPN Over Airline Tix {Fanhouse Backporch}

Feb 14th 2009 2:26AM Why is anyone surprised that a Sports Network is having an issue with gender bias? These are sports guys. Duh. But, I would like to see the numbers on how long certain employees have been with the company, how long they have been on an announcing team, and what their star-status was coming in. Of course, this last item will favor the men, as there are only a few female athletes that can compete with the big-time sports heroes of football, baseball and basketball, or even hockey.

My guess, is that a run of the mill sports guy with a few years experience gets first class. Are there any regular ESPN analysts or announcers that get first-class tickets. I doubt it.

British Airways to allow cell phone use on London to New York flights {Gadling}

Feb 1st 2009 8:19AM The real issue about cell phones, for me, is the added noise pollution, especially on longer flights. UI believe the technology is there for earphones (not Bluetooth) and sensitive headset-style microphones with sophisticated noise filters to eliminate ambient noise that could help the callers from needing to scream into their phones. Also, I always am wearing my Bose headphones, so that would cut down on my noise-based discomfort substantially.

Hey, maybe Bose can make the combination headphone, headset microphone and handsfree device for airplanes.

Hot Seat: Should Ted Stevens Resign? {Politics Daily}

Jul 30th 2008 1:50PM Let's wait and see. The majority of the case is based upon a deposition from someone who is getting leniency for turning state's evidence, always a slippery slope, especially when political intrigue is present.

Russia considers banning Czech beer {Gadling}

Jul 25th 2008 11:28AM If the Russians continue to hold up on the natural gas and go further and ban Czech imports (beer, etc.) then the US and NATO counries should ban Russian imports. That will bring this issue to a rapid halt. For humanitarian reasons, do it before winter so that the Chech's have heat (both internal and external).

Hot Seat: Hillary's 'Tough' Campaign {Politics Daily}

Mar 2nd 2008 11:40AM I know it must have been discussed somewhere before this, but I am wondering how long Hillary will stick with Bill once she realizes he is a big part of her problem?
