Glen Campbell Reveals Alzheimer's Diagnosis {PopEater}
Jun 22nd 2011 11:51AM My grandma had alzheimer's from age 79 to 83. It can be rough --very, very rough.
Hopefully, it may be a slower onset and development and afford some more good years. I will pray for that.

Christina Haag, JFK Jr.'s Former Love, Talks Gaining Jackie O's Trust {PopEater}
Apr 17th 2011 9:58AM This shallow article, like a thrown, smooth stone skipping and jumping over the surface of a smooth pond, is intended only to attract readers to Ms. Haag's memoir. The memoir must be more meaty than this article.
Yes, Even Apple Screws Up Sometimes {AOL Small Business}
Mar 31st 2011 5:05PM No, Susan. Apple is so far more efficient due to superior hardware design, and the OS-X operating system, that it can attain more thru put with less hard drive space allocated to wasteful programming such as Windows. My Mac runs silently, too-- you can't even hear the drive or fans! And I don't have to tell my Mac that it is ok to update -- it does it automatically!
Lee Street, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Mar 11th 2011 8:08PM No - the mansion in Meet Joe Black was the Aldrich Mansion, Warwick Neck, Rhode Island. Hard to believe, but Aldrich is much more palatial than this Brookline home.

Carnival Splendor Catches Fire Off Mexico, Ship in Limbo {AOL Travel News}
Nov 8th 2010 10:26PM Gotta say, we enjoyed the smaller cruise ships twenty years ago much more than the giant ships of today. We like to feel that we are on a ship, on the ocean, and tie up right dockside. Some of the new giant behemoth ships can not get in to the docks and you have to use tenders, which takes some of your port time. Also, they are so big that you can loose sight of the fact you are on the sea. Like a huge moving shopping center. We always try to book on smaller ships if possible.
Carnival Splendor Catches Fire Off Mexico, Ship in Limbo {AOL Travel News}
Nov 8th 2010 10:14PM We have been on nine cruises and were always treated wonderfully. On our one bad cruise, our then 11 year old daughter got deathly sick along with about 60 kids who all attended the same party. She vomited and had diarrhea for two days and two nights and the stewards must have changed her bedding and cleaned our cabin 20 times-- day and night. We never had to ask -- they came and rapped on the door and said, "Give us 5 minutes and we will freshen up your room for you." Just wonderful attention.
Another time, we had a problem with the drinking water aboard ship and we had to return right away to dock in NYC for 10 hours. NYC is a great place to get off a ship and see the sights! We had a blast!
Did Anderson Go Easy on Eminem on '60 Minutes'? {PopEater}
Oct 12th 2010 10:51PM Why argue with a bigot when you know that your arguing will not reduce his hatred one single bit? The arguement would be broadcast all over the internet and draw out more hatred. Better to let illiterate haters make their statement and slide by it so people can see how ineffective bigots actually are.
Eminem's nearing the end of his career because kids are not really following him any more.
Anderson's big mistake was agreeing to do the interview. Enima is not at all newsworthy.
I turned it off, which I seldom do to 60 Minutes.

Hell, Cornelius Vanderbilt's summer house in Newport, R.I. has SEVENTY (yes, 70) rooms and 20 acres on the ocean front and a household and grounds staff was, I think I remember 50 people. But he ran his investments from there.
Hiding valuables in your hotel room {Gadling}
Mar 29th 2010 10:44PM This article has some really stupid lines. Who in their right mind would leave "folding money" in their room?
Anyway, I simply leave larger items, like my 42 inch flat screen that I always ship ahead of me, on the bathroom counter. Then I close my pet lion in the bathroom and hit the town.
