Produce storage tips and tricks {Slashfood}

Jan 1st 2008 7:50AM Where do you purchase these green bags? NEver seen them before. I have a large 25 cubic ft side by side and dont lose food too often but there is nothing worse than a mushy cucumber or pepper that fell to the bottom of the crisper drawer!! I keep my celery in the original packaging in the crisper drawer and have it for a few weeks also with out it turning yellow or getting limp. Heard not to mix fruits and veggies in the dr awers tho so beaware of that. A chemical emits from some of the fruits and ruins the veggies.

Divorce attorney: $150/hour. Court fees: $300. Housekeeper saving my marriage: priceless? {ParentDish}

Apr 16th 2006 8:47PM Well I enjoyed this article and all the comments. I am lucky that when my kids were younger I was able to be a stay at home mom most of those years withe help cleaning from a housekeeper every other week. When I went to work full time the housekeeper came every week. Now that our children have moved out and are on their own I have a housekeeper every other week. My husband is just as happy about this because I dont nag him for help. He does the dishes every night and I cook so we compromise there as we both work full time. Hey its a lot of work doing laundry grocery shopping and all the other chores to make your house a HOME. SO GO GIRL GET YOUR SELF A HELPER AT HOME AND STAY WITH YOUR MAN!!

Apr 16th 2006 4:01PM I loved reading this article, and man do I agree. I have a housekeeper 2 times per month and that comes out of my pay check. I get my nails done 2 times per month also. Hey I work hard, and can not be expected to be responsible for all the chores at home. My hubby does clean up after dinner, but has no interest in cooking so add that job to my daily routine along with the laundry (and of course I have to wipe up alittle after he is done with the dishes as it's not up to my standards!!) There are only 2 of us at home now, the 3 kids are grown up and on their own. YIPEEEE !!!!!
A glass or two of wine every night helps me relax and gets me to sleep so that also needs to be added in my budget also along with my car payment and the groceries/ Hubby pays the rest of the bills. Been there done that with a divorce and have no intention of walking that road again! SO I VOTE FOR THE CLEANING LADY!!!!! Takes the pressure off us women!!
