This time, a passenger struck a flight attendant {Gadling}
Mar 31st 2008 5:22PM I think Jim has a good point. I have met several AA flight attendants that probably deserve what happened to this woman, however, I have met several FAs who were very nice, smart and did a great job. I am not a fan of AA by any means and I think the good employees should bail and find an airline that will treat them like professionals.
Live from SXSW: American Airlines is Owned By Satan Himself {Cinematical}
Mar 26th 2008 3:33PM AA has problems in every way: Today 200 flights were cancelled due to an audit by the FAA on "wiring". I also read that its planes are aging and need to be replaced. What are they waiting for an accident? I also read that they had empty oxygen tanks and a passenger died as a result, not to mention the defibrillator was faulty and what about the woman who is suing because some guy left sperm in her hair? This is not a quality airline. It is a joke. I will never fly this airline even if they promised me free flights for the rest of my life. I have met some of these pilots and FAs out of O'Hare and I think they are mentally unstable and need to be retested. AA is a flying accident waiting to happen. Ridiculous.
Are you too pretty to fly? {Gadling}
Feb 28th 2008 10:58AM I think these girls are pretty, but I have flown Southwest and the FAs were great. Courteous, profesional and busy. I was very impressed because at one point the pilot had to leave the cockpit and the FAs actually stood in front of it with beverage carts to prevent anyone from getting into the cockpit. Southwest rocks and its attendants are very pretty too. Maybe it was an off day for everyone.

American Airlines passenger dies after receiving empty oxygen tanks {Gadling}
Feb 26th 2008 11:45AM I read this morning that AA claims they had 12 oxygen tanks on board the aircraft, however, if they had 12 on board, why did they stop after they found the second one was empty? Why didn't they just grab another oxygen tank? AA is trying to cover its tail by denying its incompetency. I have witnessed nothing but arrogance and incompetency when dealing with AA and I will never fly them again. I don't think they are equipped to deal with emergencies. Also, I am amazed that passengers had to come forward to give medical assistance. I thought crews were supposed to have medical training, obviously, this is a misconception.
I hope this woman's family stands up to the big corporate AA and gets a settlement they deserve.

Sep 19th 2007 5:20PM As usual, American Airlines is determined to stay on top. Without AA tooting their own horn all the time, I am sure they would just fade off into the distance never to be remembered. I very seldom ever read anything positive about AA. Well, I guess if the keep putting themselves in the limelight, they will continue to get manipulated notariety. I have had the unfortunate opportunity of meeting several of their pilots and crew. Believe me, it was an aweful experience. They were pushy and extremely arrogant. Maybe if AA wins money they can send some of their crews to charm school. I am sure they have good pilots, but the people that I met left a bad taste in my mouth. I will never fly this line again.
