Here's why that is intellectually empty:
1) Apple AND Verizon employ business analysts that make alot of money. It is up to these 2 solid companies to accurately PREDICT sales. They did their testing, and projected that the demand for the 'new Verizon iPhone' would be so high that they needed to keep their Holiday help on staff through the launch. They had red velvet ropes, and opened stores a few hours earlier than usual to meet the projected high demand.
What happened?
2) Apple fans repeatedly said, "Goodbye Android, iphone is going to shut you down once it moves to Verizon!"
3) Who cares if it's not the iPhone 5, the point is it's the IPHONE on VERIZON, NOW!
Many people express disappointment when they go from Android to the iPhone because of the slimmed down, limitations that the iPhone lacks in comparison to Android.
iPhone has missed the window, and Android has the momentum. Deal with it.

You know the best part about all of this? (and I'm going to post this comment whenever I see silly arguments between iphone lovers and androiders).
The BEST part, is that Google has managed to make Steve Jobs/Apple sweat, and quiver all over an O/S that was cobbled together through a purchase, and then shoved out to many different phone manufacturers, serving as Google's guinea pigs.
Did ya get that? Google took a half-baked O/S (strong roots/potential, though, mind you) and managed to pit it against the most popular current smartphone, and make said smartphone pee its pants (see: lawsuit against HTC). That's pretty damn amazing alone.
Further, um, apple people, hear me now: Google is in the mobile O/S business as a side-venture! They do not depend on REVENUE from this O/S (as yet, yes they can through mobile advertising eventually). However, this area is Apple's bread and butter.
I love how Google is kind of like a giant just kicking cans (or apples) around for amusement.
Yep, I own a Droid...and nope I don't much care for ridiculously priced apple products.

It's one of the reasons I bought the phone; the people calling this phone "junk" are obviously experiencing cognitive dissonance.
This is a first-class experience, on a first-class phone. It's not the jesus phone, but either is the iphone.

Look overseas, and find how much they pay for their "feature rich, advanced devices".
Japan TRULY has feature rich, advanced devices, and they pay waaaay less than Americans do.
But, I guess it's all about 'capitalism'. Where's the fairness of it?
