Nov 8th 2010 7:01AM I think its wonderful. Its what they wanted so who cares what anyone else thinks. And for those who say the child could be born with down syndrome "because she is so old"... I say pooey on you!! I was 28 when I had my child who was born with down syndrome. It can happen at any age.

Nov 24th 2009 10:14AM I like getting fit with the Wii because I can do it in my own time, at my own pace. I love that it shows the progress you've made. My thyroid quit working in 2005 and its been a real battle to get back in shape since then, but I refuse to give up! I even started taking a Zumba class to help. I love it, Zumba and Wii Fit!

In this beautiful state of Alabama where some people cant seem to pull their heads out of their asses and/or the gutter we have now banned a wine simply because it has a "naked nymph" (their term) on the label (designed in 1895) and has been deemed "immodest" by the Alabama Beverage Control (ABC) Board.
"The state's alcoholic beverage regulators have deemed a wine label — featuring a vintage 1895 bicycle advertising poster with a nude nymph flying alongside a winged bike — as "immodest," and it must be removed from grocery store and bar shelves."

Mar 18th 2009 4:07AM My daughter is 18, diganosed with Downs Syndrome, and has boyfirends, just not in the sense that others have "boyfriends". She talks, writes and thinks about sex/marriage too. If the young man is respectful, kind and considerate I see no reason why he cant have the same things in life and be proud for wanting the same things as others his age. I've never heard that they, male or female, have, or would have, a problem conceiving but I understand the chances are better for them to have a child with downs syndrome. I've always raised my daughter to believe that she can do/be anything she wants to be. I dont aspire to get her pregnant but I do so hope that she can find someone to love in life and live happily, securely for the remainder of hers.

Sep 21st 2007 7:38PM absolutely not. I would not have wanted someone else to have that connection with either of my children. Besides that how do you know your child wont be alergic to something the other mother ate/drank/smoked. Would you be tested for STD's beforehand also? This all comes through in the milk.
