Budget Travel: Minneapolis, Minnesota {Gadling}
Jan 12th 2009 1:44PM I've been living in Minneapolis for 2 years while attending graduate school at UMn. By laid back, they mean BORING. Everything on this "to do" list feels like such a stretch. Would I go on vacation somewhere to check out a free outdoor zoo? Not from October - April. An absurdly large mall? Not if I'm flying back with all that junk I bought. To check out some art gallery or play? I guess if every other "big" city was too far away. To drink coffee? Sounds like a blast. Everything about Minneapolis is a concession. It's a "make your own fun" kind of town, and you'll be sorely disappointed if you expect to find anything new or exciting to do here.
Oh and it's a nice place to live. So what? You're going on vacation. Spend an extra $150 and go somewhere that has culture. You never experience Minneapolis, you just exist there.

Oct 23rd 2008 10:30AM I am deeply offended by game patches and would hope that Sony understands this and immediately retract the patch. My beliefs strictly prohibit the modification of creative works (for good or worse) in any way. Please Sony, retract this patch or I will piss and moan like an indolent jerk until the media gets their mitts on it and makes it really blow up. I have the right to never be offended by anything ever.
